The first final was held at lords. If it's not going to be held at Lords every time it should be held in the top ranked teams nation at their stadium of choice.

Doubt it. The National team dont give a **** about Shield cricket when they are in the middle of an overseas series.
Nor should they either.

They should care about player development

What’s best for Morris? Hanging around for a test he’s not playing in and maybe get a bit of net bowling in. Or returning home to play a couple of 4 day games, one of which would be a Shield final.

Which of those options would be better, particularly considering we have an Ashes tour on the horizon

The convenient excuse would be "possible concussion substitute" but I still think it's poor.

Apart from a few BBL games Morris has been a glorified drinks waiter since Decmeber.

They did release Agar though when he was deemed surplus to requirements

Yeah lick up those salty Darren Lehman tears was pissing myself when his hack of a son dropped that sitter while he was in the commentary box.

That idiot Boof was borderline insinuating that WA was rorting the CA salary cap regulations, because they’re so much better and deeper than every other state. Never mind that a number of the core Shield and one day players are with other BBL franchises, or that the vast majority of players on state contracts are WA natives who might just prefer living and playing at home over moving interstate, especially given the border situation the past 3 years.

Anyone else notice that players nowadays, when raising their bat always make sure to show the back of it - with multiple sponsors stickers.

If you go back and look at old coverage, whenever a player raised their bat, it was always the front with only the small bat makers sticker showing...because this was how you'd hold it naturally.

Nothing surprising about that.

I hadn't noticed but it doesn't surprise me.
