Temba finally gets his second century. Looks like he raised his bat the right way too. Good to see

That’s disappointing. I was watching that game on my lunch break yesterday and Mitchell when he came to the crease was struggling heavily. Rajitha was moving the ball both ways and only reason he didn’t get mitchellout was cause he had too much movement at times. Then SL totally released the pressure by bringing matthews into the attack which allowed Mitchell to get away

Well it looks like unless Australia collapse in the second innings (very possible) then a boring draw looks the likely outcome here.

What is it with Indian wickets over the past 10-15 years? They produce either rank dustbowl square from ball one turners or flat lifeless spud wickets?

Indian wickets used to be pretty good. Favoured spin but had something for the quicks as well. Look at some quicks figures...
McGrath - 8 tests, 33 W @ 21
Marshall - 9 tests, 36 W @ 24
Holding - 6 tests, 30 W @ 22
Hadlee - 6 tests, 31 W @ 22

Give any of those guys the wickets of the past 15 years and they'd be lucky to take 1 or 2 a match.

It's always been tough to win in India with the advantage to spin and the playing conditions and the crowds and the Delhi Belly and so on, but these pitches just aren't up to test standard. And it seems deliberately so.
And there's no need for it. Produce a good test wicket that is true to the home conditions and India would still win 8 out of 10 series (with 1 draw and 1 loss).

They clearly prepared a pitch for a draw, cause that’s all they need to reach the WTC final, and they knew we’d jump at the chance to bat for as long as possible and try and post a big score in India.
All moot anyway as Sri Lanka are no chance of going 2-0 against NZ in NZ. Pretty sure India need to win this game to be sure of qualification too.

Looking forward to beating India at the Oval on a non doctored pitch! They can have this series meh

The Pakistan T20 league had a match last night where Multan (3/263) def Quetta (253/8). Multan’s opener scored 120 off 43 balls and an Afghan spinner went for 77 (!!!) off his four overs. Only three bowlers went at less than 10 an over and two of those only bowled one over each.

The PSL seems to be proving that if you put a bunch of very good cricketers on flat pitches, the scores are going to be massive.

IPL matches have innings over 200 more regularly than BBL too.

Or the 4 bowlers you highlighted are far superior to what is around today ?
