GAME 1:

St Kilda led the whole game but never by more than 1-2 kicks...gg

St Kilda 8.6.54 def Lions 7.3.45 in a good close game
Lions: Goals; Brown 3 goals... Touches; Rich 10, Drummond 8
St Kilda: Missed these...

GAME 2:

St Kilda came out quick and had 3-4 goal lead till mid through 3qtr... Lions missed a shot to take it back to about 15 points but turnover and quick reply led to a flurry of goals and run away for saints. It was the Riewoldt and Goddard show too....smashed in the middle and players everywhere.

GAME 3 (for fun):

Lions 68 def St Kilda 60...good to get a dead rubber win...

Thks for games...too much momentum in that 3rd / 4th qtr game 2!
 
I (SaintSkeeta) played against Marlon1a (Brisbane).

First game, a nice close contest, that was hard fought for the full match.
Q1 St.K 2.2 14 - Bris 1.2 8
Q2 St.K 5.3 33 - Bris 3.3 21
Q3 St.K 8.4 52 - Bris 6.3 39
Q4 St.K 8.6 54 - Bris 7.3 45
Highlights: Clint Jones had 16 possessions while Jonathan Brown bagged 3 goals.

Second game I was straight out of the blocks, keeping him scoreless until quarter time. From there, my players kept the momentum going, and broke away with (almost) a ten goal win. Felt for marlon1a in this game, because it felt like my players were everywhere.

Highlights: Brendon Goddard kicked 6 goals, while Nick Riewoldt got 11 touches.

We also played a third game for fun. Such a tough game, with him smashing me in the last quarter to win by 8 points. Not sure of the actual scores in that match though.

Im feeling like there are a handful of the guys who are clearly on another level...with perhaps the rest of us just 'making up the numbers'

Not that i really mind! Good fun!

Yeah, the momentum was huge. I could feel my players getting to everything.
I love how you work your kickouts. So precise in your decision making....something I should definitely look at in my game.

glad it wasn't just my imagination! felt like i had an injury or something and didnt get a player back!

Just played my games with DT_fanatic

The first game was tighter than the scores suggest, at one point he scored 4 unanswered to hit the front with good contested marking and spot up kicking, ended up getting up by a comfortable looking margin

Coll: 8.3 - 51 v Frem: 14.6 - 90
Goals: Coll: 3 Blair 2 Cloke Dawes
Frem: 5 Pavlich 3 Ballantyne 1 Hill

Game 2 was a bit of a blow out, but DT still strung together some good passages.

Quarterfinals and challenge games are now finalised. If you need to reschedule, that's fine. Games are to be completed by end of Saturday.

The semi finals and next lot of challenge games will be scheduled for Sunday/Monday July 17/18.

Final will be Wednesday July 20.

Regular season will start Friday July 21 (I plan to hammer out the season fairly quickly... basically 1 round every day or so, but you can reschedule games to later dates if need be... just don't get behind... I'll probably have a cut off date for each round to be completed by unless there are extenuating circumstances).
 
Friday night im not sure if i can play yet....may get dragged along to a birthday party, at this stage i can play but may be cutting it pretty fine for notice so okokey if you want to reschedule just name a time and day and i will try and make myself available. Either that or i should be home by 11:30ish Friday if that suits...

HBK eh... Been a while.

You able to play the match any later mate? I'm staying in an apartment at the moment while the house gets flood damage repaired (finally), so these circumstances typically mean I can't get Internet access reliably until probably 11pm.

Will hopefully be able to give more concrete info about my availability over the coming week soon, but it's a bit up in the air at the moment.

I'll have just got home from work and downed half a bottle of Jimmy in time for my Roo boys to get up for the big occasion. Bigger than Harv's 300th I tells ya!

Just wanting to clear up the ruck punch situation, is there any problem with punching? I thought it was only sandilands that was the problem, I do use punch a lot more than tap with the bombers as they don't hit it to a free player ( of mine anyway) and tends to be about 70/30, I just want to know if this is what most people do, but didn't think there was any problems as per rules
 
Not a huge problem with punching. Mainly a Sandilands thing, but even then it probably doesn't matter (just restricting his punches probably gives the opposition more of a chance to punch it themselves to win the ruck knock).

Most good players will only punch in certain ruck setups anyway as a set play, otherwise taps are generally more effective to win the clearance.
