That's happened to me twice in recent years. One was Bernard Cribbins in 2022 although given his advanced age I was hardly surprised.
The one last year was a bit stranger, when I added three Australians with long-term medical issues - Henri Szeps, Col Joye and Jennine Mapp - to my list to replace the deceased Tony Bennett, Rolf Harris and April Stevens from my 2023 list. The weird thing was that the one who didn't live to see 2024 was former Saturday Disney presenter Jennine Mapp at the age of only 49 from kidney failure (despite often good prospects for kidney transplant and even patients on dialysis can live for some time) and Henri Szeps and Col Joye who are both octogenarians and in very poor health are still living as of today.

Timothy West English actor at age 90. His wife, actress Prunella Scales, has been on my list for some years but despite her very poor health is still living at age 92.

He then managed to work on another seminal 60s song by some Oz band with Friday on my Mind.
Imagine if you had You Really Got Me , Friday on my Mind and My Generation as some of your work.
Thats 3 rolled gold timeless classics
