Only heard the first single a little while back and it sounded to me like it took off right where Stone's Reach finished...do plan on checking the rest of it out though as I quite like the band.

gave it a run through. not quite as epic as a lot of the stuff on "stone's reach", but it's still fairly solid.

Have to say im very jealous of our UK brethren who get to go to Download Festival.

The lineup this year is a cracker: http://www.downloadfestival.co.uk/line-up/

Lot of similar bands to what was at Soundwave but spread over three days. Main stage looks mental

Yeah this years Download lineup was absolutely insane IMO. I counted over 30 bands that I would like to see live on the lineup, a couple of those I've already seen but definitely would see again if given the opportunity. Apparantly it was incredibly wet though so I think there were a few cancellations but the lineup still would have been massive! Looking over the past download lineups I don't think any of them measure up to this years.

There are a LOT of wierd looking people walking around at Euro metal fests.

True, but Deathkult OA is a pretty small festival. If it were Wacken or Summerbreeze or something like that i wouldn't have bothered :p

Anyway, i am friends with her and the German people she was with. Met up with them a few times last year at some of the festivals. :)

There are times I'd really love to live in Europe. That line-up is amazing. Besides the massive headliners you get Slash and Devin Townsend. Metallica and Soundgarden alone would make for an epic weekend.

I havent read any reviews yet but Metallica playing the black album in full back to front would have been a highlight. Would like to know how Chase & Status went on the main stage as well.

I've been listening to Paradise Lost's new album Tragic Idol the past couple days. I haven't listened to much of them at all but I really like what I'm hearing on this album.

Tesseracts singer Elliot Coleman has left the band. Its a pity as I loved what he did on the One EP and was looking forward to seeing what he could do on a full length on their normal style

This is one of a very small handful of bands that I am still itching, dying to see live. I'm absolutely gutted they're only doing the east coast.

Great news, with nachtgarm now on vocals there will be a different edge/ energy to the performance.
