From last weeks newsletter:

Following our last game V Brisbane on Saturday 30 August, join the Sydney Swans for a post-match function to celebrate the end of the home-and-away season.

Hosted by Brad Seymour, this event will be held on site at the SCG and is FREE for all Sydney Swans members and will feature player appearances and live entertainment.


More details regarding this event will be available via our website and the e-newsletter later next week.

Entry subject to capacity.

Please note that this Post Match function will replace the normal Post-Match function in the M.A Noble Stand.



 
This really sucks.. why can they not have after match functions at the ANZ or after afternoon games? I can't make it to all the night games & stay afterwards.. my mum won't let me :mad::eek:

Nahh, I can't. Its about a 45 minute drive from Parra and we'd get home around midnight.. my mum can't handle that at all =P

Oh well. I get my full license next year :D
 
Probably. But my mum would be opposed to me staying overnight at my best friends' house as he's a guy. She gets mental about it, its quite amusing :D
 
I'm up for it, we could try to meet up at this post-match function thingy depending on where it is! Pre-match might be harder to find a spot to congregate within the SCG?

Fox and Lion?

I am up for a pre-game meeting. I am not currently a member :)() so I don't think I will be going to any post match functions.

That could work, ACTAFL finals have started so I gather the ressies will be playing their semi-final in Canberra this weekend as they finished 2nd, so it could make up for having no ressies game at the SCG!
 
Looks like the last aftermatch will be a big one at the Indoor Cricket Centre near the Football Stadium/Pool/Gym.. From the weekly email:

Hosted by Brad Seymour, this event will be held at the ICC (entry near Gate J at the top of the Walk of Honor) and is FREE for all Sydney Swans members. The event will feature player appearances, live entertainment, fantastic prize giveaways and Senior Coach Paul Roos will be in attendance!
Pre-register your interest in attending this aftermatch function and you will go in the draw to win some fantastic prizes, such a 2008 team signed Guernsey, a Panasonic Camcorder and a voucher towards your 2009 Sydney Swans Membership! The winners will be presented their prizes by one member of the 2008 Sydney Swans Team! (You must be in attendance on the night to claim your prize).

That sounds good, I was actually planning on joining some friends for a (very informal) friendly soccer game down at Moore Park in the afternoon, anyone want to join? :D PM me for the details.

If not, I could just meet you guys at Fox. (have given up trying to convert the others to AFL) 6pm since there's no curtain-raiser? I'd probably have to leave early cuz I have to walk all the way up to the SFS to get to our seats in the Bradman due to the SCG construction.

I stirred up TheMase prior to Geelong game and feel a little embarrassed and disappointed, that we didn't at least briefly meet then.

Also I am a quite a bit older than you mob so also bit embarrassed that whilst I act like a clown sometimes here, I'm not all that interesting or appropriate... unless several drinks under the belt!

Having said that if you managed to get a group together earlier then I would try to come along for a kick and drink? ...if any of you lot would like me too?

Age means nothing in footy, looking forward to it. I am in, and I will probably get there sometime around 5 hopefully. Anybody got a footy? I have one somewhere, but unsure where it is. I am certainly up for a kick and a drink!!

I have already obtained tickets, otherwise I would take up your offer!
I will be there with my girl, who at least at the moment knows very little about football.

Hopefully we can organise a kick to kick then some drinks :thumbsu:
