Few points from the game imho;

Vicario - Couple of really good saves that kept the clean sheet. Still a little uneasy with the ball at his feet but cant complain not conceding.

Udogie - Thought he was ready to tear the game apart down that left side. Hamstring (?) couldn't come at a worse time.

Romero - Typical CR game.

Van De Ven - Needs to be spoken about as the best centre half in the game at the moment. Gas, smarts and that ability to take the game on with his powerful left foot.. sound familiar?

Pedro Porro - See Romero

Maddinson - Given time and space for once, even before the red and showed flashes of that brilliance. I still yearn for so much more. Does he have the ability to get there?

Bentancur - Good showing, unassuming.

Kulu - I think he gets a raw deal from some corners. A hulking runner with the ability to link up or create is a strong combination. The finish for our second is under appreciated with a keeper coming for him, was a smart finish.

Timo Werner - Please get someone who will finish clinically. He will cost us a big game with his inability to finish. That big chance is symbolic of him as a footballer. Does all the hard work but cant finish off.

Solanke - See Maddinson, can play, can do more, just want to see it more consistently. I know some will say "poachers goal" from him but his ability to fwd think and be there was great. I do appreciate the pressing he was giving us.

Brennan Johnson - Thought he was MOTM, went missing for some parts but when 11 v 11 was our most creative (along with Destiny). Another goal is 4 in 4 + the assist shows he really is on a tear.

------------------

Djed Spence (46") was solid at the back. Not as attacking as Destiny but did what needed to be done. Ange sees something because he is progressing well enough.

Mikey Moore (76") bit of a non event from the youngster. Will be better for the experience coming into the cesspool of Man United.

Lucas Bergval (76") first touch was the corner finished off for the Solanke goal. Love the kid. With another 12 - 18 months into him will genuinely give Maddinson competition for his spot.

Pape Mata Sarr (77") Another who came on late. Another who did what was needed.

Radu Dragusin (81") Strong, solid. Move on

Best three from me were; Brennan Johnson, Destiny Udogie, Micky Van De Ven

Didn't rate Kulu at all as a winger but as this second mid who presses and gets the ball alot more central he looks much better. More like an Alex Iwobi type. Once he found the confidence to drive on the turn it made a massive difference to spurs attack.

Johnson is a head scratcher. 4 in 4 is great and the finishes have all been composed. He certainly positions himself in attack as good as anyone. Should have scored doubles in almost all of them as well. Needs that to break through to the next level.

Timo Werner is such a head scratcher. He's like the perfect player for the counter attack once spurs are ahead until the final shot/pass and he goes to water. An average paced player doesn't get either of the chances he got but **** you'd love him to get one atleast.

at 28, the he will come good argument needs to spell the end. Upgrade and we improve

As good as the United win was, the bigger tests come against the sides who sit back against us or are full on in their press like Newcastle last season

If we can still play well and win under those scenarios then we have a serious team on our hands

Tottenham don't have the players for that yet. Odobert, Werner, Johnson and Moore aren't gonna be difference makers in games where chances are at a minimum

Odobert and Moore might become that sort of player, if we see them get regular mins. Capable of the spectacular at lower levels. The other two aren't good against low blocks.

With no Udogie, Dragusin, Spence, Odobert, Richarlison or Son tommorows lineup will be interesting. Almost guarantees 2 of our main back 4 have to start and Davies will have to play. Not sure whatll be worse for him in this setup LB or LCB.

Vic
Gray Romero Davies VDV
Sarr Bissouma Bergvall
Johnson Solanke Moore

With Porro, Bentancur, Kulu and Maddison rested for the weekend. Hopefully get a score on the board early and get mins into Lankshear and Dorrington and give VDV and Solanke some rest in the 2nd half

Great result, great win.;)
Brilliant to run some kids out and still get a performance. 5 on the spin now? Imagine thinking he was close to being sacked :$
Your Brennan Johnson comments not aging well=
;)

That's what the Europa league in this format is all about.

Mikey Moore brilliant. He's ahead of Werner!

Lankshear and Bergvall good moments. Gray thrown around because of our poor squad selection but was decent. Ben Davies awful in both positions.

Any idea why their goal was offside? Looked on to me

There's no doubt Ben Davies is a loved squad member. And he has desires to get into coaching, we should appoint him as one of the first team or youth coaches.

He is behind Spence, Gray and VDV as backup LB. And behind Dragusin and Gray as backup CB.

What a finish by Johnson. Has his limitations but is elite at what he is good at
Dunno if I'm seeing this cause I want to or it's true but it feels like he's playing more as a wide striker this season with Kulu doing the progression on that side with Porro. Definitely suits him more. He probably has the best movement in the squad outside of Solanke.

I think it's definitely happening with Kulu and Porro able to go wide of him. He still has his nothing moments when he sees the ball on the right wing with a packed defence in front of him. But that's not his problem to solve. He'll never be that player. And I don't think we signed him to be that.

He's a back post arriving, get it out of your feet and into the bottom corner finishing, offside trap springing, whipped crossing right winger. And in all of those areas he is fantastic at it. His goal contributions since joining shows that

And to all of you who yabber on about preferring to play no Europe compared to Europa or Conference League...

That's what it's about... Minutes into some exciting youth and fringe players, and building confidence in the way we play throughout the squad.

Europa and conference different still for me.

This is a rebrand of the uefa cup. Love that we are in it with a young squad.

Conference League was sold as being a chance for smaller nations, but is being used to get mediocre clubs who finish 8th in England into Europe. Had no interest when we were in that with world class senior talents, would still struggle to celebrate success much more than the 21s being in the Papa John's Trophy if we were there today.

They showed the picture early in the 2nd half to show it was offside. A worry that took 45 minutes to do that though
