Said it last year, Ange is just Martin Jol with an aussie accent.

Fun games. At times good results. But utterly predictable with the ease at which we drop points

For many, their sackings will feel harsh.

And in the short term there might be some pain. But post Jol we grew with Redknapp, grew some more with AVB, grew massively with Poch. Then changed our approach massively with Nuno, Mourinho and Conte.

As long we keep to our approach of an attacking manager next appointment, I can't see us getting worse. Tbh only thing worse than ange the last 25 games would be actual relegation. 29 points from 25 games
Last week you were saying ange did enough In the last few games. The week to week flipping is tiring and aiming for top 6 is the small minded nature that will always hold Tottenham back.

He is on life support. Needs results every block of 3 games to keep his job. Needed 6 points from Forrest, Wolves and Newcastle. Or at least 4 points + a decent first leg result against Liverpool.

29 points from 25 games with the 6th largest wage bill simply isn't good enough not to be on life support

You can say this a million times it doesn't mean anything to me.

The amount of money someone's paid doesn't equal their talent.

So many managers would be desperate to take over right now with a back line of Forster Dragusin and Gray what a superstar line up!

Even though it's statically proven that wage bill is the best predictor for league results, it doesn't count when the idolised Aussie gets questioned

The hell are you on about 😂
Just cause Son's paid the highest amount in the squad doesn't mean he's not a shadow of what he was. Just because Richarlison is on a fortune doesn't mean he's available most of the time

If we're gonna use stupid stats why don't we only include the wage of players when they are fit an available because the players available ain't top 6 in the league

Then you'll shift the goalposts again lol

Our wage bill is the 6th highest in the league. And 15th highest in the world. To finish 11-15th in the league would be a fail of epic proportions

You should always finish within 2 spots of your standing on the wage bill table

Lol so 2 different sources I just looked at have Tottenham 7th in the PL, 20k above Newcastle in 8th. According to your logic 9th place finish would be fine, with the amount of injuries spurs have then 10th is also ok so he's one spot off.

Or maybe this just a completely pointless way to judge a team

Whether it's 6th or 7th, being 11-15th is failure

Outside of the FA Cup tie, we've got a super tough run of fixtures coming up. Genuinely worried Ange could be gone by the end of January. I think at that point I will be checked out of actively following this team. It's been more than 15 years for me and most of it has been rubbish. Can't see it ever changing in a meaningful way.

I can't see the axe coming anytime soon, it would be incredibly stupid and wouldn't change anything except wasting the last year and a half.

Mind you, if the axe does come I'd probably check out too, it's been thirty years for me and if anything the past fifteen have been the good ones.

Start your day right with a cup of negativity.
The only difference between the extremes of negativity/positivity and realism is evidence and history.
Nothing to suggest that with new players, owners or coaches that we'll suddenly climb up to be one of England's top clubs. Can anyone see us outdoing Liverpool, City*, United for revenues, spending or wages?

Top 3 for wages is almost (Leicester) an ironclad predictor for EPL champions. Nothing we do will bridge that gap.

I can 100% see it coming if the fanbase keeps going after Levy. The manager always walks the plank when he feels the heat. And besides, looking at this it's hard to argue that he should be kept regardless of the ownership situation.

If he wasn't Australian we'd have no issue with him giving his marching orders. 18 games for 1.28 points per game is bad enough, but the second half of 23-24 was as bad or worse. It's 1.16 points across the last 25 games.

I want Levy gone more than anyone. But it's not an option. Just want to see my team win more games than they lose and finish in the spots it should be in around 4-8th

If all you look at is the points, then well yes he should go, but it does feel like Ange is building something and things are moving in the right direction so it would be madness to throw that all away before it has a chance to work. A managerial change at this point would be stupid beyond words

This is not a rhetorical question at all, I’m genuinely interested because I see no reasons for optimism atm.

What evidence are you seeing that suggests he’s building something and things are moving in the right direction?
