We are selling walker for £50m

This is the same full back that has looked like a buffoon every second month under every England and Spurs manager other than Poch. We aren't selling Poch so I'm not so worried about it especially for that price. He is the guy that turned calamity Walker and failed Sunderland loanee Rose into the best full backs in the league. He also turned a guy Man C let go for free to Burnley into a RB that was capable of displacing a RB they want to spend £50m on!!

£20m on this Porto guy + Trippier + KWP and we are fine at RB. The other £30m for Barkley and we are stronger at CM and AM.

I said it at the start of the transfer saga but every best XI has a most expendable player. And in no disrespect to Walker for us it's him.

I thought it was already done

NJie 6m
Fazio 2m
Walker 55m

That's just under 65m to spend without even dipping into our own pockets!!
Bentaleb 16m.

Walker is 45m basic with 5m add ons.

True on Bentaleb. I've heard it's 50m plus 5m add ons. We'll never know the real details. But all I know is it's closer to 55 than 50 of the add ons are reached.

And knowing levy they aren't unrealistic ones like winning the CL they're appearance based which should happen

Anyways

Would really be great if Levy and co started incomings rather than outgoings

We regularly buy late in the window and it gives our new players limited time to adapt to the squad. We have started slowly the last two years and imo it cost us a chance at the title in 2015-16 and it ruined our European run last year because certain players could not be relied upon early in the campaign. If you are not injured then you should be available for selection imo and I feel Poch doesn't work this way, he only integrates new guys in once they've achieved certain fitness requirements, surely it makes sense to get new signings done as early as possible to give ourselves the best chance and not have to play catch up, like we have done the last two years.

The earlier stability is achieved in our campaign, the better we will be for it imo.

There was an article a while stating signings were aimed towards week 2 of preseason. Week 1 has just gone so if that rings true then the next week could see some movement. If Siggy goes through I think Barkley could get done quick.

Yeah it feels like we are behind the 8 ball because everyone else needed to ask super early. But really the english and french lads have just got back to training yesterday so a new signing isnt behind at all yet.

We should keep it simple this summer.

ST: only if we can get Nachos from city
W: only if we offload Sissoko go for Demari Gray
AM/CM: get Barkley
RB: get Perreria
CB: bring in a left sided CB if we sell Wimmer

Need to sign a CM. Zidane98 isn't impressed with ours :tearsofjoy:
What's his problem? Dembele when fit is as good as there is. Winks and Onomah OK backups. We should sign Barkley to strengthen that area

They've got their knickers in a twist because I wouldn't want a pool player and would rather Barkley. I would rather him than Can or Wijnaldum

I shit you not "If we sign Keita we have the best midfield in the PL."

Don't need a 20 goal striker as they have "Firm, Cout, Studge". Nothing wrong with Milner or Mignolet or Lovren.
2017/18 CL title is confirmed. EPL invincible season an inevitability.

He'll definitely make them a lot stronger. Keita is a young Demebele. Shame we aren't trying to get him. But it's Liverpool he'll make them good but they won't be any better than 3rd

Even Argentinian media make shit up for transfers. Have been getting linked to Juan Foyth from Estudiantes. 19yo CB.
Slight problem being that he doesn't have a EU passport and isn't capped internationally so no visa would be granted :$

So much BS atm.

its not click bait, he could very well be our first signing, his grandparents are European so the visa is not an issue

we wouldn't have gone this far without checking up on his availability first

There's no doubt he's capable, but not for us

22m is not bad considering inflation + the pathetic asking prices Portuguese teams have historically placed on their players. Heck Markovic cost more like 3 years ago and he was vastly unproven at the time he was bought.

He can play RB/RW so I'd imagine he'll be well suited to RWB also, I believe this could be a genuine target for us.

his last 3 or 4 games were all on the left, he fits Poch's ability to be a utility players as he also plays DM but predominantly picked to play RB as back up for Trips, some who have seen a lot of this kid rate him higher than Walker and Trips the only downside being he is not home grown hence a lot cheaper

Just on Barkley, Everton have recently softened their stance on his asking price as we are the only team that are interested in him and the only team to have a bid in for him, the longer it goes on the better position we are in as Barkley has put in the transfer request and wants out to us.

We know how much Levy likes to play this game however Poch has made it clear Barkley is his no 1 target and wants it done sooner rather then later as Deli Ali is not available for the first 3 UCL games, although Barkley is more of a back up for Moose rather than an AM

You reckon we'll get him?

Yeah I seen he played on the left a few times too, I don't mind that but I wouldn't want it to be a permanent position like what a Davide Santon/Marc Wilson developed into, if he plays as a LWB as a Rose back up I'm fine with that, he'd give us more pace down the left than what Davies would.

Didn't realise he had DM in his locker too, so that's RB/RW/LB/DM he can play as
