Has potential to be an AA wingman. How do you think Chayce will go this year bigman ? Can he elevate again off last year ?

Good to see Berry has got his mojo back.
Problem is we probably don't have a midfield spot along with both Laird & Crouch.
More likely Keays spot.Could he move back into the forward line with the high marking he’d showing? Take the Murphy or McAdam spot? Coming up to the contest?

I was thinking that with Berry, Pedlar, Rankine and Rachelle all able to rotate between midfield and forward it makes an interesting team. But we do need one of Burgess, Gollant or Cook to provide that leap and mid sized forward role (hopefully that is Welsh in a couple of years)More likely Keays spot.
We need someone more dynamic to replace McAdam.

They don't give AA to wingmen!Has potential to be an AA wingman.
I wouldn't expect any less from you as you are not exactly positive about the Crows....No chance. Not good enough to demand and use the ball like Gulden or Daicos. McLuggage never got AA, Chayce will never touch his ceiling.
They did last year. They don't give AA to wingmen!
Likely a bridge too far for Chayce IMO but very happy to be wrongThey did last year.
Guilden
J Daicos
Chayce reminds me a lot of David Mackay. Tries hard, great work ethic, reasonable skills, but his ceiling is capped at 16 to 20 possession games with no real hurt factor. I think he is well suited to half back or small defender, as he is definitely in our best side, and he is very accountable. If Chayce Jones becomes an AA wingman, I’ll run down the mall naked. NEVER happening. He ain’t that good.
Yeah, I can see the comparison.Chayce reminds me a lot of David Mackay. I just don’t think we can put him on the wing as it is just too important a position for fast transition and good forward entry. Just look at Isaac Smiths game in the Gand final a couple of years ago.
The only way I can see someone being able to hold this position is if they didn't watch a single crows game last year. He remedied a lot of the things he was criticised for earlier, started nailing key goals, especially from set shots, started to get more of the ball, hit more targets in transition and then kept doing all the things he was already doing well. Massive step up. Miles above a Mackay ceiling already.Chayce reminds me a lot of David Mackay. Kicked some great goals ! Was it 3 against pies ?The only way I can see someone being able to hold this position is if they didn't watch a single crows game last year. He has a penetrating kick on both feet and has more pace than them but I can't see him an AA player, probably AA squad???No chance. Not good enough to demand and use the ball like Gulden or Daicos. McLuggage never got AA, Chayce will never touch his ceiling.
Mackay was developing into a very good player (I think that was when there was rumour of Melbourne being interested and then he re-sign a long term contract with us) but stalled and end up becoming a decent player. Jones has more ability than Mackay as he is a longer kick on both sides and also a bit more pace.Chayce reminds me a lot of David Mackay. Mackay should be applauded for maximising his career given his skillset.Mackay was developing into a very good player (I think that was when there was rumour of Melbourne being interested and then he re-sign a long term contract with us) but stalled and end up becoming a decent player. In his first 4 years in the system, he had 1 game above 20 disposals (avg 11.3 disposals). Last year he had 8 games above 20 disposals (avg 17.4 disposals).Kicked some great goals ! Was it 3 against pies ?
Mason Wood also worth noting. Don't think he ended up in the team but was in contention all year.Daicos never started really racking up disposals until last year (7th year in the league), hell Seedsman had his breakout year on a wing when he was 29, there’s always a chance Chayce gets there but I mostly doubt it

From an overall career perspective, I think he absolutely willHe’ll pass Seedsman
Seedsman had legitimate weapons. Particularly his booming kick, ability to hit the scoreboard and line breaking speed. Chayce is good at several things but a master of nothing. Would love to be proven wrong here but I reckon Chayce’s ceiling isn’t very high at all. He’ll pass Seedsman
Agreed. At least he's improved though, so maybe he can go up even more. That'd be good. (2023 output + a little bit better), would be a serviceable player that should hold a spot for a while.
