Gollant doesn't sound like he's progressed at all.

Cook probably made more progress, but the McAdam role still up for grabs.
Gollant has played well in his limited opportunities at AFL level and has been one of the best forwards in the SANFL. Cook has barely fired a shot in the SANFL let alone in the AFL.

I do concede that Cook has an excellent highlight reel*, mostly selling candy, but he struggles to find the ball. I would love to see Cook make his mark in the AFL but I would not be betting on it.

*Tariek Newchurch has an even better highlight reel.

Cook for mine the most overrated player on bigfooty

Yes he does have high talent …. At some point though you need to show it for more than snippets at any level

He really should be absolutely dominating sanfl games this season then knocking door down

bigman how has Edwards been training? Interestingly Tex said he's a chance for a round one debut.

Roo asked him on a triple m segment this week and he responded by saying “he’d be close”.

I got the impression from your reports that his kicking as been a little disappointing? Has he been training with the mids in match sim?

Or maybe Tex was just being polite?

It's because we're desperate for more skilled players instead of just another grunt to throw at the contest. Most people on here just want him to make it

I've always thought Cook was a forward from his junior days
But as the Crows way, we needed to 'educate' him with his defensive side of his game and his running.
So we have played him out of position on HBF and on the wing
Give him a couple of years up forward and I think he will come good, he has a bit of the Stevie J's about him

I'm still waiting for Charlie Cameron and Darcy Fogarty to dominate the SANFL

Don’t think you’ll ever get to see that

Edit - get your point though , you don’t have to dominate sanfl to be a good afl player

Just wonder where it’s going to come from is all

His debut was the best game he played at afl level in a showdown of all games

Guys like Nank seem to have developed and gone past , hope he can still make it

That was a shock for me too

Most reports I’ve heard including but not only bigman’s were that Curtin and Ryan were impressing the most

Great to hear tex rate this lot of draftees as good as any we’ve had come in

They showed a Insta post of Edward’s taking a shot for goal this week.
His kicking action is questionable.

He played a decent game against Melbourne and was dropped never to be seen again. Hard for him to show much under those circumstances.

A pick in the 20s feels like a good pick, but history suggests that it actually isn't that great (av 66 games, with over half playing less than 30).

I did like him in his draft year, and knew he would be a bit of a slow burn. But it's getting on now . . .
That ended up being a pretty crappy draft from in the 20s, only notable miss was McCreery after Cook. Never going to get Goulden, what a bargain he was
