Terrigal, who have had plenty of finals experience in recent times, choked against Wyong on Sunday, they could have gone one game clear of Gosford who maybe over recent years deserve a shot as they have been on the end of some cricket scores.

Killarney Vale seem to have lost their spark since Jackson Ireland departed and haven't looked the same since though still have a good list.

Killarney have: Gosford have: Terrigal have:
Nelsons (A) Terrigal (H) Gosford (A)
Gosford (a) Killarney (H) BYE
City (H) Wyong (A) Lake Mac (H)
Warners (A) Cardiff (H) City (A)

If Terrigal Slip up against Gosford their seasons over.
If Gosford slip up against Terrigal or Killarney their Seasons over and
If Killarney Lose 3 of their last 4 and Gosford take over their percentage or win all four games their season is over.

Any thoughts people???

Interesting thoughts Fatman. With ur last comment if Gosford win 4 and Killarney 3 then it wont matter about percentage but if Gosford win 3 and Killarney only one it will be percentage that decides at at the moment Killarney have a good break.

You've gotta be kidding me? Gosford will be lucky to win one game on the run home...let alone all four! Get Summers back in the side! Good on the bloke for standing up and saying what needed to be said! Might have a few more of your Gosford blokes at the bay next year if you keep treating your players like that?
 
Final 4 in Ressies locked in. Killarney, City, Warners, Cardiff. Anyone care to make a prediction on which 2 teams will play off and who will be premiers.

Final 4 in 18's all but locked in, Cardiff, City, Warners, Terrigal. Only Lakes could alter the final make up sitting one game out but pretty much on the same percentage Any predictions?

Predictions on leagues Best and Fairests for 08?

I don't know how you could consider Gosford making the Top 4, mathematically yes they could make it but in reality you have to be a good side to make the grade.
Besides Gosford will miss out on thier early season Footy trip discount if they play the first week of finals.
Mad Monday in September that would be a new concept in Tigerland.

Back to the footy and UTF I think it will be KV and City in the 2's as I saw KV run away with it on the weekend V Cardiff

In the 18's Cardiff V City with form on the board and experience with no Kris Wozniak after 4 years success!!!
We all have to get older eventually!!

LRB, not considering it as something that could actually happen but stranger things have happened. If we all layed over and put the feet in the air then it wouldnt be a competition would it. Presently Killarney are in the box seat because of their percentage but looking at the draw for the last 4 games, they have 2 hard games to finish off the season in City and Warners, Nelsons this week, us the week after. You would expect on current form for City and Warners to win but if Killarney beat either of those 2 they are deserving finalists. They should win against Nelsons on current form and we would have to beat them to have any chance.

We have to keep winning simple, hard task to ask as Terrigal and Killarney are always hard competative games for us but on our day winnable. Wyong we have beaten the last few times but after the weekend who knows with them if the field a full side. Not expecting to beat Cardiff unless they choose to rest all their players ready for finals the following week, one can only pray. So is mathematically possible for either Terrigal or ourselves to displace Killarney if they dont win 2 of their last 4.

And you pick in those grades for premiers Noodles?
 
UTF I think KV will take out the minor premiership. Cardiff and City will fight out for second in the last few rounds.

Fourth sport in first grade will got to Gosford. KV have to go against City and Cardiff so the season for both KV and Gosford will come down to when they duke it out.

Personally I think Gosford are a team on the up. They had an awesome 18 side a few years back who are coming through plus their team still relatively young. Also Ive heard a few players from other sides in the comp are thinking of playing them but unfortunately dont know any names so it could all be just rumour and crap.

Its a big ask for that to happen, KV definately in the box seat with their good percentage, but still can't rule our Terrigal either. The equation is simple really KV wins 2 of the last four it locks them in.

UTF I would like to say KV in the 2's, got quite a few mates in there and have played alongside most of them plus it would be good to see someone other than City win it- nothing against them but they have won it the last few years!!! Both have experience in finals and the best 2's teams last year (Not counting the crows as was their best team)

Hard for me to say in 18's as we get pumped so they all look pretty good again Cardiff and City been there before close but Ill say the Hawks
On the 18's topics some of the best won't be elligable will they?
ie Braedon of Muswellbrook/ sorry City as he hasent played that grade?
 
My picks for premiers are:

City in 1s, I personally think Cardiff will choke, they may go into the GF underfeated but they have everything to lose.

City in the 2s, Think it will be one of the best Reserve Grade Grand Finals, I believe it will be a City V Bomber GF. I think Cutlers side will find it hard to match up on all those talls city have.

Under 18's will go to the Doggies.

Gos V Terr... Very close game, with the winner believing they are stiil in the hunt, hope the council stays away as its currently raining!!!
Saw 1st hand Terr missing a couple last week J.Van Dam, Polglase and at least one more, dont know the story but you would think they will be stronger and more determined this week
As for Gos they should get a full list ready and willing, toss of coin..Terr

Nelsons V Kill... KV got smashed last week so will be ready,hear they might play a few 18's etc, the Bay got a full team last week and almost won the 3rd ( 6 goal to 7 ) and competed well the 2nd half, will blow out but cross fingers for the Bay:D
 
Warners V City... The Bay need to stand up and show its not a 2 horse race, any rain will prob help them but just cant see them getting over the line! ( Deitzy love an upset so do yr best )

Lake Mac V Wyong... We should beat the Crows on current form, but everyone has gotta be switched on!!!
I hear that Mac are usually stronger with a nite game ( think KV game earlier ) and with all players avail whoknows?

My thoughts on the weekend are:

Gosford v Terrigal:

Gosford will go into this game as favourites but Terrigal will be going at it harder than ever after their big slip up against the lakes last week. I think Gosford can stand up to the challenge.

Killarney v Marlins
Killarney will get the job done over the Marlins. But the Marlins will be competitive and Next year i can see the marlins getting back to where they once were.

City V Dogs

Agree totally with you noodles that the Dogs have to make the step up. I dont think they will this week though, City will give the dogs a footy lesson and just show cardiff that they want the premiership just as much as them.

Lakes V Crows

Crows have been on the end of some rather big floggings. I think the win over terrigal will give the lakes a bit of extra confidence and the lakes will win by about 10 goals. Hodge Back this week??? who knows, Got a small feeling he will be their.
 
Gosford Vs Terrigal
This one is harder to pick then a broken nose but I think that Terrigal will scrape over the line.

KV vs Marlins
This one Im worried about. I think that the Bombers will only just make the bombing run successful because the Marlins will have more players wanting to pay at home.

Dogs Vs Blues
Personally I dont like either side but I have to say a City win. The main reason is that I think the Dogs are pretenders and the only reason they are having a good year is because other teams are weaker below them.

Crows Vs Pies
Crows at home are a gun side. Will be a great game and possibly the game of the round. Will finish a tight contenst. Crows to get up.

couldnt you then call city pretenders as i wouldnt exactly call 5 goals behind cardiff close so their good year is also because of weaker teams below them?? i dont think the league has seen the gun side from the crows at home yet either.

gosford v terrigal
depends which side turns up for terrigal... if they come to play they will win easily.

bombers v marlins
bombers must take a stance if they want to be considered a chance in the finals

bay v blues
rain will make this a close one. similar to terrigal, if warners turn their attention to football they will come away with a close victory

crows v pies
another close one. pies to win
