Kreuzer recovering well. Showed good signs on Sunday & Monday.
Were worried about Sumner, so happy after scans came back with only a sprain.

Which train station do I send the chauffeur to? :)

I reckon there would be more ice being handed around in dressing rooms post match than there was sitting on the deck of the Titanic.

Just dealing with aches, pains, bruising etc. Standard for an impact sport.
That's the double-edged sword of shedding some extra body fat like these boys did over the pre-season: fat can impinge movement, but it can also offer some protection from external trauma.

Conversely a better diet and exercise regime can help with controlling inflammatory response which generally helps with recovery time, so they'll ache a bit after the game but the turnaround tends to be faster. Time will tell if we've pushing it too hard, but so far it's been pretty promising.

Boekhorst's season is ******.
I'm sure he will be in the forefront of the match committee's mind after the bye. He was named early in the season so they have to think he is a best 22 player. Understand the best 22 shifts over time and we've brought in others who have looked great, but I'm not writing him off.

Which obviously means nothing.

SHUT UP!

SHUT UP!

Reckon a few players have gone up the pecking order since he's been out injured. He might actually find it hard to get back after the bye.

Anyone know Jamo's status?

I was wondering that yesterday, there's been no mention of him in our injury lists nor has he been playing VFL. There were strong rumours that he was going to retire after his 150th so it is possible he may have done so and it'll only be announced at the end of the season. Thats just my thoughts on it though, nothing to back that up.
