Gov did go down and hold his knee at one stage (can't remember when exactly) but he got back up and played on.
Looked like a knee on knee knock in the air.

Looks like it just stung for a minute.

Didn't look like any ligament twists.

Yes there was a McGovern and a Cripps injury but fortunately not of the Carlton variety.
Earlier I saw the quote "Cripps is in hospital with a broken ankle and McGoverns hamstring is a bad one" and nearly crapped myself.

Thought wait this could be an April fools joke... before realising it wasn't our Cripps or McGovern. Phew!!

Also heard McKay has taken the rest of the year off to pursue his veterinary studies

Well, confirmed it was a pec tear. Wondering how serious it is, given they are appealing his suspension

I doubt it is a pec tear or we would have just stated it up front. No reason not to. I think the pec tear comment was just to provide context around his level of pain. Highly unlikely he would be able to play out the game with a proper torn peck. Those are brutal. Obviously a pec issue though.

I know the club is under no obligation to be clear but the current injury update is pretty farcical. We just list everything TBC now? No update on most players. No pec injury reported for Acres at all. Owies is a 2 or 10 week hammy? Strange.

It's an AFL update, not ours

Don't think that the clubs injury update has been released yet.

Hoping that they release it to you prior to the general public to soothe your anxiety.

I'm no doctor, but would have thought a pec tear is the kind of injury that can get worse by continuing to play, with the tear getting stretched wider/deeper.

But I assume our docs wouldn't risk that...

The club don't have to release it to me. There are injuries there that haven't been updated for weeks.

Seems like a change in policy to previous years.

Can i ask why the snarky comment?

Teddy, you and others have touched on this a couple of times already this year, which I get, but many of our current players have been listed as being in a training block

During that training block, not sure what the update would entail

I guess, if there isn't a change in status, why would we need on update stating "still in a training block"

Because you appeared to want to complain about the club when there was no basis for the complaint.

The most recent club released injury update is stickied to the top of the page.

You'd be well within your rights to ask if there had been an update and if not when it was due.

However you decided to label the club "farcical" and their actions "strange".

"I know the club is under no obligation to be clear but the current injury update is pretty farcical."

Just pointing out that the injury updates aren't really updates any more. It's a reasonable statement prefaced by saying there is no obligation on the club.

But I still don't get why you get straight into territory where you're almost defending the club from an attack which is non-existent.

I try to stick to communicating with others on here as if they were standing in front of me.

Was there anything shared about Kennedy's calf injury? Just wondering how likely he is to play Friday
Next week we should get more clarity on Sam's return

Has nothing to do with defending the club, it's debating 2 items in your post.

1, that you believe that there should be updates, even though there might not be the need as there is no change in the status

2, thinking it's farcical, because there is no need for an update and what was released is from the AFL

"Will be a test for this week after missing last week with calf soreness"

The fact remains - you say anything that even looks slightly critical of the club and the squad jumps into hero defenders mode.

For the record - I was not intending to be critical of the club. The term farcical was related to calling a non-update an update. Wasn't calling the club farcical.

Not at all, you can be as critical as you want, which you have been this year, of AR and our injuries.

And that so called farcical update, was not released by the club

Otherwise you're just a keyboard warrior.

And this impulse people have on here to anoint themselves the Defenders of CFC squad - i don't get it. Is it that you enjoy playing tough guy so being on the side of CFC gives you the justification you nee= d to go after people and put them back in their box?
So snark directed (incorrectly) by you towards the club = completely justified.

Snark towards you as a result = people playing tough guy.

Time for us both to move on and forward. I'll let you have the final word if you so desire.
