Wines or Viney just make us more one-paced which hurts when the ball goes the other way. Might make Crippa a little less sore come seasons end, but won't help in winning games.

Just saw a rumour which could impact us... Robbie Gray being possibly traded to Melbourne. Frankly I think Port has more potential next few years than the Dees but who knows what else is at play and whether Gray is ready to come back home to Victoria. Gray clearly a different player to Viney but Dees can afford to lose Viney. Port probably also want currency for a Lukosius bid so will probably ask for a future pick.

Yeah well I was drawing comparisons with the whole Waite/Gale point, so I don't know why your 'Get over it' is acceptable and what I said in reply is a 'Cheap Shot'. But alas we move on...

He's one of them I reckon. From interstate, genuinely elite, hardly been mentioned because how the **** can we satisfy Pies demands. Hasn't re-signed yet and very publicly requires a 7 year deal.

Gaff is my ideal target. Has improved his inside game recently and is a running machine with elite skills. Wines would be my second best option. Viney no thanks. Little plodder with garbage footskills and small man syndrome.
I initially thought it was Grundy. But from the clues and reasons why it would have to be a secret, I'm going with Viney. Makes sense on every level and it was never said that the player had to be Elite. Given his captaincy, I can understand the secretiveness.

And I think it was inferred that we might have to wait until 2021.. would that mean that because he’s a FA at end of next year that we may have to wait until 2021 to see him pull on the Navy Blue? He’s definitely a BIG fish in every sense of the meaning. I think he also followed the Blues growing up.

I can understand where he’s coming from, but it is not like we aren’t chasing other fwd pocket specialists. If Betts is earning his spot we will be better off
I think compensation should occur post the contract the player receives and as such would factor in an appropriate compensation based on the output of the player as oppossed to the magic herbs and spices formula. This way you force the losing team to trade/match bids more often than currently... or if a player is actually got some secret issues (mental/physically) the team doesn't get overly compensated due to the desperation of the bidding club.
Agree with you, A .Gaff for me too, although Andrew is a mature 28 year old, he brings undisputed elite talent, running machine with an accurate kick.
I’m salivating, the difference, support Gaff would give our engine room is huge, also mentoring our young jets, Walsh, SPS, Dow, O'Brien, Stocker and Fisher.

The reason why clubs complain is there’s no transparency with the compensation process, the so called formula is ‘makey uppey’
I reckon Viney would be ace for the snarl, leadership and protection he’ll give to our slighter younger players. Ed’s disposal is probably bottom 5 of our best 22 but what he provides to the team is invaluable.
More media nonsense, Betts will be an amazing feel good story for the club, will continue, CFC enthusiasm and positivity. Teaugy appointment was a shrewd move. Onwards and upwards. Eddie will have his usual goal haul at the end of the year too.

Dont think he has been mentioned yet but could the mystery mid be Shuey? Will be 30 next year and west coast might need to offload his contract to get Kelly in. Also wears 13 which is synonymous with bad luck...

All we have to know is that next years first will be on offer for the right player. Lots can happen from tomorrow until end of the trade period.
