Nathan O'Driscoll stands out as a defensive option in that top 10.
Agreed, mine's red; no black. There is no substitute, oh and it's NAVY BLUE
this is bf - we don't simply "wait and see".............Yup...b70 says he thinks staying...c09 put a line through Saad...43 says he's already made his decision to join us.
All 3 have always had good info. We will have to wait and see!
Maybe the team he want is still playing finals ?Saad is a lock. If he wanted to stay he would of signed already they are trying to maximise value from us. There’s no way you go through all this publicly if you’re not staying. Essendon would be desperate to keep him. The Saads know how to extract maximum value.
I think this time its different. I think he'll leaveIn my opinion, Saad is staying. Trying to extract maximum value. Still weeks away from trade period, the Saad camp see no rush in resigning - dragging it out for $$$
Coriander & Blueberries are my Degustation discoveries of the last 6
In fact, you're right. Well said. If I can make the point though. The one thing you can never tell with draftees is whether they can actually play football. Saad can. I don't think we will over pay for him, I think we absolutely get him across on 5 years, and I strongly disagree that we are more likely to get someone more talented than saad using the 7 pick. We use 7, we get change (late first), but you get him through the door. You sometime seem tone deaf on the basic criteria of whether someone can football and over emphasise your academic analytics. So long as you're not looking at the draft pool, that's exactly what you're doing.

I understand the purpose of the trade, but the trade valuation of Tuohy was a late 3rd.
I mean you're changing the goal posts back after I've repeatedly said we should be targeting Philips, even if we have to trade up.O’Driscoll probably isn’t a top 7 player and he’s just as much a midfielder as he is a half back anyway. This just my opinion.
In any situation I’d prefer Saad and a late first over using pick 7 on a kid, whether it be O’Driscoll, Bruhn, Jones etc. Pick 7 as part of an elite mid is different. DGB could also sway me, but I can’t quite put my finger on where he ends up.
Anyone else find it humorous that a Hyundai (assumedly) is being used as a bargaining chip?Extra 50k
Car
Playing for a decent club
Don’t know how he could say no
Barass, you’re a champion

I've no interest in drafting a defender with our top 10 pick given the state of our 22 and our list.
Also a bit suspicious that a top side might come knocking for Saad but then again, he would have picked the Saints, probably will not return interstate & bulldogs pies don't need him- that leaves us and tigers at a pinch. We are looking good arent we?
You are all wrong folks.I reckon it's a Tesla Cybertruck, they pre-ordered one just incase they needed to get a contract over the line.
... which doesn't really affect what I'm saying in any way. A difference in role does not modify the level in difficulty of kicks attempted; what it'd affect is the areas/players targeted, not the degree of difficulty taken with each disposal.Hurn plays as a general defender though, so he has a lot more regulation kicks, and long kicks down the line.
Goalposts shifting? I’m trying to have a discussion here.
I don’t follow everyone of your posts and I haven’t seen your comments about trading up for Phillips.
Drafting or trading in a reasonably competent young KPD to replace Jones over the next 2-3 seasons should be a priority. After a mature red.

Just can’t not find it funny. “Here Adam, how about a glorified scooter to sweeten the deal?”
was all I could do to get barass back - he did warn me though, one of these days, thy, one of these day..........Cant wait to find out essendon are paying saad 600 pa.... thats a lot of chedder for not much.
Good to see barrass back!.... LBB currently a twitching mess on the bedroom floor
