Also look at which stat was used instead of the fraught disposal efficiency; effective disposal rate. Martin, for comparison, goes at 62% for effective disposals. 40% of his disposals go to the opposition.

Works because Richmond don't give a fu** about turnovers.

85-90% efficiency isn't unusual for defenders, because they often have to shift the ball underneath the zone or laterally to open things up.

These obvious kicks bump up the percentages a bit relative to those who mostly dispose in the attacking half, or around the stoppage. Likewise, long kicks (over 40m) that hit a 50/50 contest count as effective, which clearing kicks will tend to qualify as unless they land on the tit of an opposition player.

I think this every time people ask "anything else?" in response to an itk's post. I get people are hanging out for news but do we think the itk is only posting 80% of what they know, because they're waiting to be asked for the other 20%?
