No, he’s forward mostly because they have an average forward line and an awesome midfield already.

That’s what they were saying about Petracca before this year, I was a big fan of trying to poach him last off-season. DeGoey will do the same if given the opportunity

He's mostly forward because he can't run out of sight on a dark night.

I'd take Lachie Hunter anyday of the week over De Goey. Dogs would be desperate to get some draft picks in for their kid. Pick 7 and 28 might cut it for Hunter i would reckon. Saad can be done with future 1st and maybe a 3rd as well?

C - L.Hunter P. Cripps S.Walsh
R - T. De Koning Z. Willams W. Setterfield

Thats is an amazing core with ample back up. Plus Hunter would not cost us an arm and a leg in salary

Agreed. Also think hunter brings more to us than De Goey. JDG in my opinion is overrated something shocking.

7 and 28 for Hunter and 12 would be closer to the mark. Then send 12 to the Dons and we can wipe our hands of Dodoro.

man, rutten has real neeldy vibes.

you don't come into a club and just tell everyone they're shit, cause so much of a stir that all your good players want to bail, then just expect the remaining to fall into line.

the current generation don't react to this hard-ass shit, they just don't.

If we’re talking players from the filth... I’d just like to say that I’d take Daicos over De Goey any day of the week. And Daicos is still un-signed.

Daicos would be perfect for us I reckon...agile and quick around the stoppages. Replaces what we thought Fish would bring since he's now a forward.
He's come on a lot this year from basically a 'meh' player to an up and coming gun.

Sounds like Collingwood might be sinking most of their available cap space into keeping JDG & Moore...which is fair enough.
You'd think Daicos would be a high priority too but we could probably offer a much more attractive contract.

Any chance of developing a list they ask?

Collingwood have Treloar, Adams, Mayne, Varcoe, Greenwood, Cameron, Roughead, Crisp, Hoskin-Elliott, Howe, Dunn from other clubs.
Brisbane have Christensen, Ah Chee, Robinson, Neale, McCarthy, Martin, Birchall, Lyons, Cameron, Adams, Ellis-Yolman from other clubs.
Geelong have Stanley, Tuohy, Ablett, Steven, Jenkins, Rohan, Henderson, Dangerfield, Dahlhaus from other clubs.
Port Adelaide have Burton, Motlop, Ebert, Rockliff, McKenzie, Buzza, Dixon, Watts, Lycett, Mayes from other clubs.
Western Bulldogs have Suckling, Trengove, Schache, Duryea, Bruce, Lloyd, Gowers from other clubs.
St Kilda have Carlisle, Jones, Savage, Hill, Steele, Hannebery, Butler, Ryder, Howard, Brown, Kent, Membrey, Marsh from other clubs.
Richmond have Prestia, Houli, Lynch, Caddy, Nankervis from other clubs.
West Coast have Yeo, Redden, Kelly, Cripps, Hickey, Kennedy, Vardy, Jetta, Jones from other clubs.

They are your finals teams this year. Sure, I'd like more of our own recruits to come on quicker but you won't get there on home grown talent alone. Richmond have come the closest to developing their own side which does speak in favour of the concept but they still needed help.

I should retract...saw a few Bombers posters say it on their board. Had a look at an article by Edmund and he just mentions that the list of disgruntled players is growing and included Tippa in that and said he's 'frustrated'.

So not quite 'exploring his options' yet like Devon Smith apparently is but **** it it's nice to dream!

My secret sauce has informed me that Daicos & the Pies have all but agreed to terms on a 2 year extension.

Gee I hope you have nothing to do with the negotiations. 2 first rounders a 2nd and a3rd for 2 26 year old players that are good but not amazing. WOW. Effectively out of the draft for 2 years

Good point.

Might want to have a look at your list for Port though ;)

Surely You are taking the piss. Don’t want you anywhere near Austin, agresta and Lloyd in the trade negotiations

We won 2 games and got belted all year...

Essendon won 12 games with a list that looked like it was starting to come together - it wasn't exactly old, as well as landing plenty of recruits.

There was nothing shortsighted about it, he took the punt on a team ready to challenge and it's now clear that was the wrong move. I don't begrudge him for it, I actually feel a bit bad for him as he's cooked his career now; most players would have picked Essendon back then though.
I stand by my comment.. even with the addition of Shiel I'm not sure many would have seen a premiership winning list...they we're still more likely to fall off a cliff than pinch a flag imo....things can change quickly in footy

Which may be true to a point, but you can't just blame the young.
It's us parents who've taught them they should be cushioned from anything difficult in life. :)
OK, that's not all one way traffic, but if we are going to shine spotlights, we have to know where to shine them.

I keep saying that the main coach has too many duties to uphold.
That's changing now and the better coaches apportion a lot more responsibility upon their deputies....as they should.

Port and Richmond made a trade? 😉

Maybe we leaked it to put some sense of urgency into Oliver ;)

We've only got space for 1 more big gun fellas, if you want in you better let us know now before we get someone else!

Also for trading price. You charge us too much and we go elsewhere.

"How not to Coach 101"...

He's not even an active coach yet (until pre-season) - off to a flying start!!

Hahaha yeah apparently poaching players from other clubs is a crime if they're coming to us! Should know that by now!
Unbelievable, some people just have NFI.
