Just on De Goey, our club has spent years developing the ‘Carlton Respects’ Initiative which fights for gender equality. I just can’t envisage any scenario where we would actively chase a man charged with sexual assault.

Daicos would be perfect for us I reckon...agile and quick around the stoppages. Replaces what we thought Fish would bring since he's now a forward.
He's come on a lot this year from basically a 'meh' player to an up and coming gun.

Sounds like Collingwood might be sinking most of their available cap space into keeping JDG & Moore...which is fair enough.
You'd think Daicos would be a high priority too but we could probably offer a much more attractive contract.

I read somewhere that a contract around the 400-450k mark would be enough to secure his services. Because we’ve got the 105% cap going for the next 2 years, I’d give him 500k/year for 3 years. Pay him 650K for 2 years and then 200k for the last year. A second round pick should satisfy Collingwood.

if they want to jump up and down about it. Sling them the second first round pick we get from Brisvegas.

It's us parents who've taught them they should be cushioned from anything difficult in life.
OK, that's not all one way traffic, but if we are going to shine spotlights, we have to know where to shine them.

I keep saying that the main coach has too many duties to uphold.
That's changing now and the better coaches apportion a lot more responsibility upon their deputies....as they should.

the reasons why are irrelevant, the days of rocking up and being a prick to 'set a standard' are done and dusted, been proven time and time again recently.

They are your finals teams this year. Sure, I'd like more of our own recruits to come on quicker but you won't get there on home grown talent alone. Richmond have come the closest to developing their own side which does speak in favour of the concept but they still needed help.

Forget DeGoey, Right now is the best time to offer GWS some salary cap relief by taking Josh Kelly off their books to help them retain Jeremy Cameron.

They don’t really want to trigger Kelly’s extra million so a mid teen and next year’s first might be enough to alleviate their head aches.
