Just when I thought the thread couldn't get any lower...

I think i'd take Reg Rumours over the usual direction of a thread when drugs come up, where about 2 people say drugs are bad and then 30 doods have to rock in and tell ALL those people that drugs are normal and everyone's on it.

Like clockwork every time. :D

Main Board is a ripper for it.

thread title of the century (or was it a username?) on the crows board "drugs are bad mckay?"

One of the mods on the crows board I think

No. Drugs and beer are two completely different things.

One is acceptable in moderation, the other isn't acceptable at all.

If you're relating this to the Steven May incident for being maligned for having a drink, a bit of context is needed. He was their marquee signing and came to the club in poor condition and was playing poor football as a result. It wasn't a good look him to be out drinking under those circumstances.

Yeah... Haven't you seen those anti beer Canadian Club ads :p

I remember when he was on the bulls after a loss in his last year straight after the loss into the gym 1am in the gym. He does not play around.
In iso in the hub neighbouring rooms complaining of a thumping noise Jimmys in his room training like a man possessed while in iso. True champion
It's why he didn't get along with Ben Simmons. Too demanding.

*hesitates*

Would be giving tacit approval for cashed up kids, living away from home for the first time, to get on the gear. Would possibly be an expected behaviour as part of the club and lead to all sorts of undesired outcomes.

Think the 2012 * team for a cautionary tale. Imagine if drug use was condoned, who knows how far it would be pushed to get an advantage? Whatever it takes ...

Lots of people experiment in early adulthood. Not everyone becomes addicted. Many of the undesirable outcomes of drug use are a result of the drugs being illegal.

Many studies have shown the ratio for drug use vd abuse is roughly the same as the number of people who consume alcohol vs alcoholics.

Money spent on enforcement for many minor drug crimes can then be diverted into education.

There is a reason the cigarette smoking is declining more rapidly than say smoking weed. The decades of anti-smoking ads and education have a major role in that. Everyone knows that cigarettes give you cancer. So the younguns are more likely to steer clear.

Educated kids are better equipped to make better choices.
