I don't post very often these days, or at all really, but seriously these last few pages are an absolute and utter disgrace.

Absolute pack mentality from these Carlton 'supporters' raging on a 21 year who has barely featured for the senior side for 2 games in two and a half years.

Constructively critique his game if you want, offer areas of improvement but stop with the name calling, calling him weak, soft, bust. He's just a kid trying to make his way and lacking confidence.

He doesn't know whether he belongs yet at the level and coming across even a smidgen of the type of posts over the last few pages would make anyone feel pretty shit about themselves.

Yet we have anything and everything from his physicality, his mentality through to pot shots about his family, uncle etc.

Grow up you keyboard warriors, "we're passionate" is an absolute cop out. Be passionate in a civil manner, support your players. Critique them but do it respectfully. He didn't select himself at pick 10. Our recruiters did.

Even Murphy with 300 games I could understand but the guy is 21. He deserves another go, but at the very least he definitely does not deserve pages and pages dedicated on a forum when he didn't even play on the weekend in pack online-bullying.

Love to see your bosses publish your annual reviews on the forum too and we can debate and critique all your credtentials.

Some could do with waiting a mite longer.

Weitering was doing the job on Riewoldt year 1, LOB still struggles to get a kick at the lower level - those writing off Weitering were foolish, the questions over LOB are much more understandable.
LOB is in year 4 and has shown very little to date, the big question is: can he turn it around?
I hope so, we're screaming out for someone with his ability to break the lines and kick through/over the oppositions defensive setup so the opportunity is there if he wants to take it.

Said people would do well to note that this is certainly a discussion forum it is also a community shaped by the ****ing monograph on the front of the jumper. We are Carlton supporters. That is who we are. We support the team, and we support the players.

Some players do not work out. Some players become stars. Some players - most players - fall somewhere inbetween, and they do so for a myriad of reasons. Discuss away, but do not feel as though the idea that this is a discussion forum insulates or protects you from the consequences of saying something foul about my players.

Honour the ****ing jumper. Respect the players.

This 100%. I don’t think he’ll make it, as I wasn’t impressed when he was with Bolton getting a run, but it’s a year too early to be delisting him.

Here's a fun little exercise.

Compare LOBs first season with Nik Cox's season to date.

Very similar. LOB more rebound 50s and metres gained, Cox more score involvements.

But because one of them is really tall he's raved over by all and sundry in the commentary box and media.

LOB had a solid first two seasons in an incredibly poor side. His third season was ****ed by COVID, the recruitment of Newnes and Walsh's move to the wing. This year he was solid early by all reports, and has had a down few weeks.

This is literally the first season in recent memory where we have a dedicated development/reserves program. And even then, it's been interrupted. Let's give that program more than 10 weeks before claiming young players are guaranteed to be delisted, yeah.

Who cares where he was selected, has absolutely no correlation as to whether he is retained or delisted

I mean, last year you posted over a dozen times that he would be traded and of course, it never happened

We are shit, have been more shit than any other club for over 20 and we continue to do so

Stocker is in his 3rd season, one of which he spent in a different state to the team. He's playing brilliantly this year considering he's being played out of position. How on earth is he a slow burn/ late developer?

He's what, 21? Our club has had notoriously shithouse development over the past few years, a shithouse culture, and players being played out of their natural positions. Some people being absolutely gifted games and others who can't get a look in.

I reckon he deserves a clean slate and a chance.

ETA: and the way people have spoken about Cas recently is disgusting.

Absolutely nailed it MEB. My disgust is with the club in general, not our young blokes trying to turn it around for us.
