from memory it was brought up earlier this season, and that there was a bit of a disconnect between AR & the coach/coaches & MC. Someone else may be add a little more to it than me

That would explain quite a bit. I'm sure the fitness staff are told that x player is right to go by the coaching group, even though the fitness staff/medical staff have said no. Look at this season, there has been a need to play injured players (Cripps, McKay just to name two) and every club does it. It's just a matter of 'how injured' they actually are and whether they can play through an injury or make it worse in the long run.

player puts their hand up, AR says not yet, player still selected, etc.

I know its an easy bow to draw with Cerra because he's from WA and has the talent to match Cerra, but I hope we retain and he goes on to become the star we hoped he would be when we drafted him.

Talent to match Cerra? SPS has loads more natural talent than Cerra - more than most players TBH. Getting him to show/use it is the tricky part.

Hmm Daniel Talia,, has a bit of the Brian Lake ,Clarko Russel vibe about it...

There is no doubting SPS has alot of natural talent, but is clearly lacking in other areas one of which may be work ethic, Chris Yarran was a great example of great natural talent but lacked in other areas.

Cerra is going to be +200 game player who is going to be a good consistent performer and you know what you are going to get.
SPS valve is not great after a number of sub standard seasons now.

Every season's end, pre-season, we are perennial premiers for rumour, scuttlebutt, linked to all manner of trades.
I look forward to the day we are not in the news but carrying on our business of improving and winning

Get this sh1te over and done with, as it's starting to resemble a casting for dumb and dumb****ers.
1diots are trying to land an A380 down royal pde, hoping no one notices

I reckon so too and not just for his intercept marking, nor the simpler requirements of the role, which I think would suit him - we are crying out for exceptional kicking skills from defence and he would provide that. The only question mark is that he doesn't like sitting under a high ball/putting his body on the line, but I don't think that would prevent him from being very effective floating across and coming at the ball.
He played that role in a game for Adelaide against us (last game of season)was the best game I have ever seen him play -- believe he did his ankle early the next year

Where the hell is GlennMaggie?

Never heard of it. Surely it just a property name? That is what I assumed it was, all this time.
out Traralgon way. I thought it was just the name of his farm until we went there over Christmas. Nice reservoir there for swimming on a hot day.

Yep
Maybe one day if we’re all lucky enough our season won’t actually end in Rd 23 and we’ll be focusing on competing for silverware rather than competing for the next recruit to help us right the ship

I'll go with the Captain Obvious ....was a Blues supporter growing up:rolleyes:

And would have been a Blue if Ratten didn't overrule Hughes (I think, maybe Rogders) on draft night and take Lucas.
In fact, Talia got a call the night before the draft saying he'd be a Blue if still on the table.

Another one of Carlton’s best recruiting decisions !!!! But not as good as Blaine or Troy
