The independent, external panel last week provided an update to me, to the Board and to CEO Cain Liddle. This process is now reaching its final stages and I assure you we will not be making any public comment until we have directly communicated with you, our members. This will include providing you with the summarised findings of the review that I know members have a deep and justified interest in.

Always knew I liked you Luke!

I wish I got my emails from the club - thank you for posting!

Seems as if the club will keeping things very much close to their chest this week before addressing the coaching situation and the review next week. Fair assessment?

This is why they didn’t sack Teague with a couple of games left; players were going in for early surgery, debutants playing and knew we were gone cop 2 beltings.

Let them be attributed to Teague, and begin fresh after he’s sacked. I understand the decision even if it sucks for Teague.

Gold Coast are interested in Casboult.

Veteran Levi Casboult’s AFL career could yet be revived with the departing Carlton tall among the options being considered by Gold Coast to replenish their big man stocks following the retirement of Zac Smith.

It appears that Collingwood have been talking to Brad Lloyd about their vacant list manager position. Source Caro and afl.com.au.

Interesting that many on here think that he's not much chop. Must have a bit of respect within footy circles.

Thought his record at Freo was pretty decent?

Missed on a lot of first round picks, but Collingwood don’t have one so maybe it’s for the best.

He’s chopping up something and handing it out in match committee that’s for sure.

Article I read indicated the vacancy they have is in the TPP management space, not actual recruitment anyway.

Lloyd being a former player agent and list manager would presumably be pretty well versed in how that stuff operates, so makes sense that the Pies would sound him out. Definitely a step backwards for him if that's where he has to go though.

Player Agent -> Recruitment -> List Management -> Head of Football -> Player Payment Management

This wouldn't surprise me as the suns lack a player like Casboult at the club - he's been linked to the Sun's before as he has family up here. His wife, Hayley has mentioned them moving north though.
Interested in Levi, but last year traded Two Metre Peter to *. Can't understand their thinking?

Not sure if Levi would move. They moved to an area specifically to get their eldest into a particular school this year.

I feel like Gold Coast was on the cards for them earlier in his career but that trade didn't come through.

Been around a while but perhaps we placed him into a role that he’s unaccustomed/unqualified for vs player/list management that he’d held previously.

We need to source a strong candidate for this position, as both recent managers have been given the A.

Dylan Stephens name raised on SEN again as possibly being moved on by the Swans, highly rated in his draft, supposedly we were going to take him, has anyone seen him the last two seasons to know why, he hasn’t cemented his spot at the Swans?

Ha - yeah, certainly could be an option. I was talking high-risk/high-reward more in terms of choosing to head to the draft rather than trade our first for Cerra, as opposed to choosing a high-risk/high-reward player at the draft. I'd love to find another first-rounder for that purpose as there certainly seem to be plenty of good options.

On a side-note, I would be a lot more comfortable trading our future first for Cerra.
I knew that; I was trying to start debate whilst being facetious at the same time. I was leaning towards trading for Cerra, provided it was just the first pick, plus something effectively negligible, but that was before I realised we'd probably have better options if we stuck to the draft. On the other hand, I'm never in favour of trading future first-round picks, unless we get another.

Has been linked with Collingwood from a previous article, and there’s always the return home to Adelaide with their interest.

Edit: good form from the Swans making it tough. W.Hayward a good example of one dropped earlier this year.

As a list manager yes, as a footy boss no.
