Lions have Andrews, McStay, Gardiner, Payne, Ballenden

Cats Henderson, Taylor, Kolo, Blicavs, SDK, Stanley

We are thin, very thin

Kolo is equivalent of Plowman.
Stanley is a ruckman.
I dont know who SDK is...de koning? He's only a first year and could compare to Macreadie.

We are as well stocked for KPDs as Geelong.

I don’t claim to be an ITK but heard today from someone mates with laird in Adelaide that wines will request a trade to us to be closer to Dougal Howard

Sounds reasonable.

Pretty confident the same thing occurred with Wingard. Apparently was close mates with Impey or something along those lines.

One second rounder?

We've got a 2nd (2020) and a future 2nd (2021).

We're currently holding a full set of picks apart from our 4th rounder this year.
Next years draft is supposed to be a cracker (absolutely no research to prove thus, just Cal Twomey) so seconds might be a premium. Ahywho... 12 months is a long time away. Good times.

And they got the Kelly deal done really early, no drama or drag out. Just did the right thing by the players knowing it gets paid forward. Props to them.
They were awful the first time he wanted a trade and was left hanging and distraught with the to ing and fro ing between cats and eagles going to last seconds of 2018 trade week. So I wouldn't get too lovey dovey with how great the cats do.

Got to give it to Geelong. Sustained excellence for more than a decade and they keep attracting targets. Has to be more than the beaches. Can hope we get there again at some stage.

Yup they’re a quality club, With high standards of coaching and administration top notch.
An amazing home ground and advantages attached.
Now if they’re successful in acquiring Cameron well they’ll be very difficult to defeat.

We won't cave surely --
Honestly DODO reminds me of some of my clients (I wont mention their cultural background) that walk into my display homes. They expect to build the Taj Mahal and pay Govt housing price for it.

I quote them double and save myself 10 times the service and work they will command compared to other clients. You can see it all over their faces and DOD has that same Look. Looks like a vendor selling Fake Persian rungs in a back street market somewhere in the Sub Continent. you never Cave in with these types or they have you fro breakfast.

Big Footy have implemented some weird code where if you mention a players full name you get some list of stats that's takes up huge real estate on the App that you have to scroll and scroll through. How annoying!

So until that is fixed can we all as a group agree to call players by their Cricket 04 Names.

I.e I'm really excited that Zach William is joining us and Adem Sadd
Can be disabled in the preferences! I'm back on the app because of it!

Yea, I know what you mean. Derek Hine said next years draft was meant to be a good one.

Comes down to what you prefer. Would you rather go to the draft with pick 7 or two picks in the late 20's to early 30's?

At this stage of the rebuild, I'd prefer to remain as high up the draft order as possible. We've built some solid depth. It's purely about quality now for us.

What? are you trying to tell me that Marchbank, Plow, Gov, Jack are not KPD options. Please confirm this with Arrow.

I dont consider any of them to be straight up key position defenders. At best , IMO two of them are third talls, the other two I would say they were medium defenders. At a pinch could they cover for an in game injury, possibly, but I would have zero faith in any of them being KPD's for any ongoing length of time..

Stanley can play down the spine like Levi. Kolo has more athleticism than Plow, better leap so plays taller

SDK isn't injury prone

We are not well stocked for KPD, it's our thinnest area

:tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: you obviously missed one of my earlier posts where arrow pleaded not to call these guys KPD's which they are not. I am just taking the opportunity to repeat the satement to get reaction from arrow.

Clearly Cameron isn’t a midfielder, but in light of him leaving GWS may placate ZW by promising more midfield time. They may feel compelled to promise anything to avoid multiple FAs leaving.
I’d say that ship has sailed both parties have moved on, no chance Williams reconsiders his ready for new role with us and GWS gain an early pick ‘#8’ for a top end talent and salary cap relief...

I will say there was a bit flying around that Richmond are interested in Clayton Oliver. You Never know maybe he might seek a trade to them, which he probs wouldn't announce till after the granny.

GWS CEO Dave Matthews: "It's highly likely that we will match the offer, so the ball is in Geelong's court to see if they can satisfy us with a trade"

Sam McClure: "What's he worth?"

Dave Matthews: "Treloar & Shiel were worth 2 first round picks... And key forwards are hard to find

No brainer, Cats have 3 this year and their future, Looks like they had planned for this from last year.. 2 firsts all day they are in the window for a few more years yet Cameron makes them a much stronger contender, go for it...
