Nope, because the only scenario in which someone like Marchbank would need to stand a Hawkins or Dixon is if those three were all out injured. If it comes to that, Jack Payne or Connor Ballenden or any other chump change depth KPD isn't going to help anyway.

We have three players capable of taking the biggest forwards (Weiters, Jones, Levi). We have at least 3 capable of taking a lesser/second tall forward (Plow, Marchbank, Macreadie). And we have a few tall utilities who we can call upon to have a crack in the event that we get really desperate (Gov, JSOS, Martin, Willo, Kemp).

We do need someone to replace Jones in the near future. I just don't think it's a necessity that we recruit them this year (unless we're specifically looking at the draft, in which case the sooner the better). Mature age recruits can be found next year, there are a number who will be out of contract who I listed in an earlier post.

Two years in the system, with one of them hopelessly compromised. Truth is, the club has other priorities than a development tall, reduced lists, and being out of contract are a bad combination.

I don't know what's going on but I didn't write this:

Why would anyone actually be pining over BSilvagni?
He showed nothing, cared little and was ousted as he should have been.
If we feel he has any chance at all, we can rookie him.....but that won't happen.

If Jones or Weitering go down, it would force Levi to the backline ( J9nes and Levi 30+)

Then we would have to consider playing TDK and Pittonet in the say side, which is far from ideal

Jack has the height ish, but has no leap and lacks speed

Marchbank's body work is poor, can't stay on the park

Macreadie could be anything, can't stay on the park

McGovern is 191

Hope doesn't cut it

I think they might be in some strife down there then, HBF. Would be asking for him to play one more if he is up to it. Kolodjashnij, Henry, Blicavs, Stewart, Bews, O’Connor as a back 6. It’s missing a player like Taylor, a few play shorter than him. Unless Okunbor or De Koning come on/are played and blooded.

Back on Cameron though, Giants will definitely match. Williams deal will be fine. Can’t believe the trade period is pretty much here! Those 4-5 weeks flew by..
 
I don’t claim to be an ITK but heard today from someone mates with laird in Adelaide that wines will request a trade to us to be closer to Dougal Howard

No club has 4+ AFL grade KPD's capable of reliably beating the competition's biggest talls. We have 3. And then we have a number of smaller types who we could ask to play tall in the case of an emergency (the other 3 being injured at the same time).

We have enough key defenders and taller players capable of doing a defensive job to cover us in 2020. Yes, Jones is getting on. No, we don't need to trade for a replacement right now. If we don't want to trade and want to draft one...yes, now is the time...with a late pick.

Jones played a patch of footy like he was the 2nd coming of Gary Dempsey before he was recalled to the seniors.

Don't make me hunt down HARKER's VFL reports...
 
Big Footy have implemented some weird code where if you mention a players full name you get some list of stats that's takes up huge real estate on the App that you have to scroll and scroll through. How annoying!

So until that is fixed can we all as a group agree to call players by their Cricket 04 Names.

I.e I'm really excited that Zach William is joining us and Adem Sadd

Cats Henderson, Taylor, Kolo, Blicavs, SDK, Stanley
