His been linked to Adelaide most of the year

Yeah, no doubt he was trying to get back home. Still, I'd ask the question. Worthy of a list spot.

I don't think he will leave, My opinion though.

Not the type to waive my own wand, but I did break the JDG news 24 hours before anybody else did. Interest was real right upto the point where he asked for $1Mil
Was going to say that $1mil for doing nothing is ridiculous for a club to even contemplate, then remembered that Hird got paid that same amount ...

“That’s as easy as it can possibly be. (He’s worth) a first-round pick and it doesn’t really matter whether he’s worth pick seven or not, he’s a first-round pick and at the moment Carlton only have that pick seven"

Knowing Garry Lyon is not stupid, interesting that this would appear as Oliver talk seemingly warms up a little.

What twilight zone of incomprehensible stupidity have we stumbled into??? Essendon Saad is statistically identical to GC Saad, three years older, and uncontracted...and his trade value has trebled? And because we only have 7 that's what we must use...it's like ordering $20 pizza and only having a $50 note...an out of the box thinker may try to break that note up to more relevant currency, or perhaps request some change, or maybe even a store credit to use in the future...if only similar options were available in trade week...

I have it from 2 seperate Bulldogs insiders (second hand- but reliable) that both Hunter and Bailey Smith have been told to explore their options after incidents in the hub post finals. Not sure if it's related to throwing Caleb Daniel into the pool??

Hard to believe with Smith, he's a gun.
There was a rumour doing the rounds last week. Categorically made up after somebody watched Miss Higgin’s Instagram story.

For what it's worth Sam Edmund said on SEN that the AFL's opening proposal to the AFLPA was a 30% cut to salary cap!

Also said that as it stands (and seems to be always changing) that list sizes will be 38/4/2
That’s interesting if that’s their first offer, you’d think it will end up at 15% ish. Which it’s as much of a cut as I was expecting

Also important to note, before anyone gets concerned.
All our current contracts and contract offers are based on a full salary cap, with clauses included that reduction in cap is directly proportionate to reduction in player salary.
Doesn’t change our position at all.
It’s all relative.

Tim Watson's point makes no sense. He's worth a first round pick so we have to give up 7 because that's our first round pick. So if Saad was going to Adelaide I'm assuming they would just have to give up pick 1 because thats the only first rounder they have - ridiculous. Saad's value is a mid to late first rounder (13-17ish). 7 alone would be overs imo.

I think we should get proactive & start sh*t carting some Auskick kids. Get it out of the way early.
Some of these little wannabees have basically zero tank, shit ball skills and very few are double sided. If they're not up to AFL standard as 6 year olds, we have the right to ask "why not?"

that is good to know, i asked someone else in the afl industry about elastic caps with salary as percentages of TPP rather than hard dollars and they couldn't seem to grasp the concept

Exactly, if they can't hit a 60m torp or execute a Trent Cotchin WWE coat hanger by the time they are 6, piss them off & start looking at the next crop of 5 year olds.
