As per the Bluemour File OP, this is a thread for discussing Carlton related rumours.
http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/bluemour-file.1085141/

Rumour posters should post their rumours in both threads for those that like just to read rumours and for those that like to have get lost in their rumour files.

Its hardly a rort, the trade period is usually well and truly over before the Spring Racind Carnival peaks. The AFL isn't the only sporting competition in town. It would have been very poor form for them to have started the trade period today.
Why?

They could still have tomorrow off to ponder any offers made today in the one on one club meets.

as they have done with the weekend FA period, not every state has pub hols for Tuesday. I believe they will even have the trade radio going on tuesday so wtf.

follow the narrative mate the AFL is to blame for everything

Yep, they do the right thing and they're criticised, its

Its not about the mechanics of trades, its about trying to give racing some clean air around the biggest day in the year for them, today's a big day leading into tomorrow for them.

Ìts in the AFLs interests to work with other sporting organisations in a cooperative manner.Cup weekend has always been a big one for racing and whether you're a racing enthusiast or not its always been a big part of Melbourne culture.

Kudos to the AFL for doing the right thing.

I still find it incredible that we are about to enter trade week, and we still don't know makeup and size of lists.... Or have I missed something? Wouldn't some trades (especially those involving 'fringe' or 'depth' players) be contingent on knowing this...?
Wouldn’t surprise me to see no changes this year now. Clubs have Re-signed players, we’re in the free agency window and trade period starts in a couple of days.

Nuff nuff * supporter on trade radio saying 13 wouldn't cut it for Saad. Would definitely have to be 13 and a very good player

On SM-G960F using BigFooty.com mobile app

So they want Pick 13 and anyone from our best 22? Would they also like a signed affidavit that Chris Judd, Patrick Cripps, Sam Walsh and Jacob Weitering father/son rights are transferred to *?

Don’t be ridiculous.

Kane cornes saying Williams is no Chris Judd and on 900k. Lloyd returns with I’m hearing it’s more like high 700s on average which seems fair enough to avoid a matched deal on trade radio. Lloyd is all over protecting blues atm. Kane agreed that the salaries and deals need to be made public to avoid thus conjecture. You’re a ****ing idiot Kane, the media create this conjecture. Maybe you should shut the **** up.
Thus all started when he nominated in September, Gary Lyon laughed in the couch at the 750k price tag, by the end of the following week it was “up to” 900k being reported. Even SOS said he has no idea so where the **** is the 900k coming from if he doesn’t know the answer.

Zac Williams is not as good of a player as one of the very best 3 or 5 players in the last 20 years? Wow, thanks for that excellent analysis Kane.

I’d like to think that Matthew Lloyd is just unbiased as a football pundit when it comes to Carlton and it isn’t just because his brother is our head of football. It’s been refreshing listening to a former player that doesn’t have idiotic opinions. Few and far between.

So it's about avoiding conjecture? Really?
If salaries were disclosed, the discussion around them wouldn't abate. They'd just be used as a tag for the player.

I still can't see the point in having salaries disclosed as some sort of matter of course. Are we really that needy and nosey?

I’ve got no problem with 900 as long as the triggers are premierships and Brownlow in that order 😀🏆🥇💰
