We seem to have floated a number of realistic options over the last fortnight, and have seemingly tried to creatively seal the deal with future picks and swaps involved.
Meanwhile, Dodo went "Walsh" into "8 + TDK" into "8 + picks" into "8 by itself".
The issue isn't that we keep changing the offer. The issue is that Dodo won't accept a fair deal and insists on holding out for a massive win.
Could it be that Essendon know that we can't get Oliver and Saad in the PSD due to SC restraints?
We wont be left with enough space to price clubs out of picking Saad ahead of us if we get Oliver.
Shouldn't really matter. Clubs know Saad is set on us, he wont talk or do a medical with anyone else. Why would they select a player who has no desire of being there?

Clubs won’t take players who have not nominated them. There is an “unwritten understanding” amongst all the key stakeholders, AFL, AFLPA & Clubs, otherwise the AFLPA will go straight to courts and challenge AFL rules via restraint of trade and draft rules will be void.

Why? If we put an offer in that they like there's nothing stopping it.
Not saying I think it will happen or anything, but it's certainly not too late if it's been known internally he wants out for several weeks as has been rumoured.
