Next year Im already thinking KPF and KPD by draft or trade or FA first before looking at midfielders again. Very much expect that Setterfield goes to another level next year as well as Williams massively improving the midfield.
I’m very confident in the Cripps, Williams, Walsh and Setters quartet. Splash some Ed in there and any one of Dow, Stocker, SPS, Fish or Kemp coming on, and we’ll be flying IMO

I wouldn't worry about Harry too much, I think he'll re-sign and his contract will be nowhere near a million dollars a year, not many players get paid that much, in fact, I'd say we don't have one on our books. Cripps may come close with this current deal he will sign.

Back to Harry, he's shown nowhere near enough to be a million-dollar player at this point in time,. This contract won't be the big one for him in any case, that will come in two or three years' time if he earns it by then.
3 year deal, 600-700k

Don't make me extract revenge..

Ok, this is the last thing I'll add and it's not incorrect usage of a saying but the changed meaning of certain words over the years. This is something that's interested me over the years, I guess that makes me some kind of nerd. This is one that I'm sure most people wouldn't be aware of:

GIRL
Girl once meant a child or young person of either sex
. In The Canterbury Tales, Chaucer says of the summoner, “In daunger hadde he at his owene gise/ The yonge girles of the diocise.” In modern English, that’s, “In his own power had he, and at ease/ Young people of the entire diocese.”

I think the discussion was about when he hit free agency.

But in promising news Curnow is expected to resume running in January.

It is understood the latest surgery went well and Curnow could be running again in January — the month he is due back for pre-season training.

Leading sports medicine expert Dr Peter Larkins said stress injuries of the patella were not overly common in AFL, but Curnow’s latest setback was a clear sign the bone was not coping with the loads of AFL training.

Take what Larkin says with a grain of salt....

Geelong's players started taking less than market value in an effort to keep the team together after they had won 2 or 3 premierships.
It wasn't the club deciding not to overpay anyone, it was the players agreeing to re-sign for unders compared to what they'd get elsewhere.

Don't forget the dodgy real estate and job opportunities available to them if they play for Geelong.....

Not true.

Not true.

Ok, that was my memory of it, what's the truth then? I don't mind if you can disprove what I said by providing facts but please, simply saying 'not true'. means nothing.

- This is great news if true. But why wouldn't the club come out with this?

Not a rumour but frick I can't wait to see that training thread pop up, hopefully people can get to a training session but with covid who knows. Might have to send some drones in...
Been wondering whether the Maroochydore training thing will be happening this pre-season? This year it might be a novelty to camp at Princes Park.

Quite a bit of Nietzsche on the Collingwood board at the moment...
