It's been said in the other thread, but there are some interesting parallels between Liddle & co and the marketing guys running Brisbane ten years ago. Voss seems to be the public fall guy for a regime that ran that club into the ground until the AFL stepped in a few years later - particularly since the team was on the up when he was given the sack.

McQualter contracted for 1 more year and Richmond won’t let him out of his contract for a like for like role, only a promotion.

Hewitt takes Matt Kennedy's spot imo who like Dow and Cripps is a "one way mid". Although I do like what Kennedy beings offensively.

Also Setterfield goes back in the que, career defining year for him.

Kennedy is better than Dow though, offers more versatility in rotations.

Should be well ahead of PD based on the last half of the season.

Hewitt in , Dow out.

Your mate's spot on. Sammy was furious at missing the top 3 in the brownlow. His dad bet big money on him being on the podium and sammy has been grounded as a result. He blames the club and teague in particular. Was in teague's office ranting for hours, before realising teague wasn't even there. That was the final straw and he requested a trade to the Dogs minutes later. Actually taking a pay cut to make it happen as he is ropeable.

Your mate is an excellent source and you should trust everything he says henceforth.

Remember - Sam Walsh's father is a 'mad' Blues fan.

I’ve listened to two podcasts this week (called the Imperfects) run by the creator of The Resilience Project who are big into mental health. Travis Boak and Jack Watts both spoke highly of Michael Voss’s involvement in managing player welfare and getting the program
into the club. Add that to Ollie Wines praise and I’ve certainly started to think differently of him this week.

I’ve certainly come around on Voss too. Admire him as a player/captain, and respect his perseverance since losing the Brisbane gig. I think we could do worse than somebody from Port’s system as well - they’re a great club, develop their players well and have been playing awesome footy
