Bulldogs assistant Stephen King joining Gold Coast.

Pretty nervous now that it seems quite late and lots of assistants have already moved, yet we still need to hire a whole team of assistant and development coaches outside Power.
It is getting late, and I must admit that in one way I am a little anxious. However, there are still some good prospects around, and with the likes of Cook around (who looks also at the character of a person), I am ok with the outcome.

EDIT: Remember also with COVID cuts to coaches over the past years there are some good people who currently aren't in coaching ranks who without such cuts would still be in the AFL system.

John Barker is just licking his chops!

Scarlett might decide to coach with us. The Cook factor.

Hartlett, eh... honestly no idea about how Hamish would go as a development coach. As a player, I've not been a huge fan for a while. Like a poor mans version of Bryce Gibbs in almost every way (if Gibbs never went into the midfield). But no idea what his character and mentoring skills are like.

Vossy would have a better idea than any of us!

C4[2]Yo`DooR - what're you hearing out of SA?

Think Im more concerned about surrounding Voss with able assistant coaches more than this trade period
Huge
Nervous about it.
What is Hodge doing? I don't think his media career is stellar. Camon Hodgey!

I don’t think I’m taking you out of context, whilst I agree, his output at Carlton has been terrible, two out of his worst three seasons, are with us, I just don’t think he is very good and his career, is more than enough evidence to back that up.

Whilst I’m surprised Martin finished 3rd in the B&F twice, which is a very good effort, the rest of his career has been poor, once in 7 seasons has he averaged more than 17 disposals a game and nay once averaged more than a goal a game, there was a reason Dew dropped him twice to the reserves and if Teague held higher standards, he would have been dropped multiple times with us.

It was very apparent he played injured most of this year...was clearly off the pace fitness wise when he came back from the PCL....

Had read somewhere - maybe a comment by Ken Hinkley? - that Hamish Hartlett is something of a student of the game, so moving into coaching/development perhaps makes sense there. Let's just ensure we get him a long-sleeved polo or something, please.

Incidentally, Adam Hartlett is currently an assistant at West Adelaide under Brad Gotch. The beleaguered Bloods had a tough year - wooden spoon, ending with 13 straight losses (probably one for the fact thread, my apologies).
