“Just because you’re offended doesn’t mean you are right.“ - Ricky Gervais

I don’t work for the club and don’t really need to justify what happened but I continue to love Carlton so maybe consider this:

Timing in business is not always linear.

Confirmation of roles is sometimes prosaic.

An organisation can’t control each individual at all times and definitely not people outside of it trying to get in.

The timing may be the candidate’s not the club’s.

Ducks in a row, pineapples, dominoes, hotdogs . . . try juggling all that at once.

and finally, are Melbourne and Western Bulldogs respected because of media perception and timing or is it actually footballing ability that leads to media fawning?

Firstly, I'm not offended but am concerned about our process. I also wasn't trying to offend you with the Ricky Gervais comment, merely starting with a bit of a "laugh", sorry if it offended.

I also continue to love the CFC and have done for more than 50 years but that doesn't mean that I cannot or won't criticise what I think is not good. My thoughts just reflect my opinion and I don't pretend they are anything but a personal opinion.

Timing in business, as in life, is everything and most times is linear. When attempting to change things for the better it has been my experience to get (when talking personnel) the most important in place before structuring around that person. This would be, IMO, the coach and I'm happy to wait for the right person but not waste time chasing the impossible (if that's what we're doing). The sooner the coach is in place we can move on.

Sorry I don't understand the relevance of the "prosaic" comment. Confirmation of roles is sometimes ordinary or routine?

I accept that some of this may be beyond the club's control but, if so, the timing is also beyond their control and I'm happy with that. I read your original comment as indicating that the club was controlling the narrative. If that wasn't your intent then my bad.

And finally, I don't care how Bulldogs and Melbourne are viewed by the media, my only concern is the CFC and the process we're going through.

always considered the filth and scum terms to be utterly childish and have never used them..........have never heard any supporter at a game use them either, that's pronounced eyetha, adding sneering superiority to the message..........

Eether, eyether; I'm happy with either.

I am seeing far too many instances of *'s other name being used on this board.

Its totally unacceptable.

* are *, and I would really appreciate not seeing that other name on here.

Thanks.
Should the * come before or after Junkies?

Head coach or assistant?

Yeah he’s doing a presentation in front of an independent panel to be an assistant coach at the club without us having an actual coach in the first place.

This place…

sorry mate not directed at just you just losing it with the constant belief we are running a panel for assistant coaches

before we interview prospective coaches we need to form a subcommittee to select a new member of the coaching selection committee, to replace Cain Liddle.

Otherwise we will be seen as a laughing stock.

barass70, TheRedPill & Forty3 do we have any interest in:
  1. Coleman-Jones - Thought he'd make an excellent KPF/Ruck to work in tandem with TDK. I think we have a much greater need for him than Cerra tbh.
  2. Adam Yze - As head coach.
Coleman-Jones going to North and hasn’t displayed any ruck craft at all really.
