Dunlop Volleys were standard footwear at Pentridge. As prisoners would have the shoelaces removed from their shoes - for obviously reasons - they would also cut the tongues of the shoes as they moved around, rubbed against the top of the foot and caused blisters. THEN, the improvisation was taken up outside prison and became something of a fashion statement and 'sign' around inner Melbourne (before the hipsters turned up) - And no, I've never worked as a prison guard or administrator.

Bye Samo. I'll miss you. I wish for times when CFC turns the strengths a player has, into a team based role.

AFLCA awarded Luke Power best assistant coach for year 2021, at least we got one right.
We’ll done Luke hope this reflects in greater responsibility within the coaching department.

His response to my question got me right in the feels. Was hard to stop the tears for the love and warmth.

I could be wrong but he sounded pretty dismissive about the thought of more candidates. I took it as a decision has been made and reading between the lines, Vossy is our new coachAm I the only one that interpreted B70's comments as there may still be more candidates being interviewed?
I then read everyone else's take and thought I must be way off the mark.
I'd be quite content if that was the case and Voss got the job as you'd have Cook in the interviews.
I'm still hoping for Kingsley or Ross but it isn't looking likely atm.
I don't mind letting go some of the softer players on our list, in exchange for classy, dedicated 2 way running, hard nuts.

Voss is a lock for coach, unless Cook changes things. McQualter was apparently very impressive in his interview.

When can we realistically expect to land our next coach? I’m thinking it won’t be until at least late next week.
Also, has there been any news on pyke . Hasn’t been mentioned for about a week or so.
Anyone who doesn't want to be here -- can leave -- you want dedication -- don't get any benefit posturing after what we put the group through the last 6 months ..
He's uncontracted.
If we don't deal, he heads to the draft, we burn relationships and we end up with nothing anyway. Welcome to the modern game.
Not sure if it is right but I read today that because SPS has not been offered a contract he can make himself a free agent.
Think you're with the majority. I may have had a case of seeing what you want to see.I could be wrong but he sounded pretty dismissive about the thought of more candidates. I took it as a decision has been made and reading between the lines, Vossy is our new coach
