I read a good article somewhere on social media from people in the mainstream media industry saying 'it's not quite what Carlton envisaged would happen' when they sacked Teague.

My take on it - If they had known they were going to miss out on Clarko by not giving him a year off, would we have kept Teague on and surrounded him with senior assistants, thereby letting his contract run out, then have a real crack at Clarko for 2023.

I do think we've painted ourselves into this corner by means of our previous 20 odd years of sacking coaches, instability and white anting from the board downward - so you do get what you deserve I suppose.

Getting Voss is a mid range 'get' in my eyes, but I am excited by it only because we have appointed Cook and I like what I'm seeing from Sayers. Hopefully some stability will underpin on field progress.

I’ve certainly come around on Voss too. Admire him as a player/captain, and respect his perseverance since losing the Brisbane gig. I think we could do worse than somebody from Port’s system as well - they’re a great club, develop their players well and have been playing awesome footy
"Couldn't do worse" - so we compromise again. Who is going to match wits with Beverage, Hardwick or Clarko if he bobs up elsewhere? Ross The Boss does his selection interview every Wednesday night for each and all of us to see without speculation.

Sure seems like its going down today, but our Bluemourers are eerily quiet. If not today, won't be til Monday, you'd think.
Today i reckon.

Expecting an announcement today. Public holiday tomorrow, and I would expect any decision couldn’t be kept under wraps over the weekend.

Good luck to Vossy and Kingsley, both have been through the interview process, with some serious football talent on the panel.

Whoever gets it, support them with quality assistants and development staff, and we will be back in finals sooner than later.

Teague had to go. No way they could risk another year.

I find it interesting, especially considering a couple of our ITK's are almost certainly journalists/reporters

Imagine if we did and Clarko decided after his year off he didn't want to be HC again. Wasted year for no reason
