some serious over-reactions here........You say this as if the AFL isnt choreographed and manipulated by those running the joint.
I'm surprised!
Most/all clubs supporters whine and moan about how inconsistent and staged the league is run so it's not just a Carlton thing.
But, to try and shame someone for seeing the inconsistency through blue coloured glasses is a bit wrong.
We all love this club whether the comp is run by a sycophantic boys club or not.

no it doesn't......It doesn't matter who Toby plays for he's done so much stupid shiton field that they could not hide it so had to be punished .
If you don't think the CorruptAFL doesn't have teams that they want to succeed then that's your right to an opinion but history suggests they have been more than kind to the teams North of the border.
COLA,Ambassadors in the state getting paid by the AFL,academies where they can hide players and pick them up for SFA the list goes on and on.

They looking in reasonable shape? Keep a close eye on emMany of the boys are still training at the club due to lockdown. They haven't been able to get away. That may change later when travel is more accessible.
I've personally seen around half a dozen of them running around Princes Park at various times in the last few weeks. Also know that some are continuing to use the clubs gym and recovery facilities.

I'm a hopeless romantic about Carlton Thy, that's why.then why do you continue to follow a sport that at it's core - by your thinking - is corrupt?
The AFL wanted to make a statement, Carlton were the only club that at that time could survive the penalty that was issued. AD wanted to make a name for himself and accelerated the investigation into CFC which initially was planned to be finalised after the draft. None of my comments were about any anti Carlton agenda. Carlton were doing the wrong thing at the wrong time and being a strong club suffered like no one before or since in an environment where the AFL and AD capitalised on the circumstances to their own ends.Really.....what a silly point of view. And tell me what 'they' would have done to break us if we hadn't broken the rules.
The whole notion of them against us is a myth.
And don't use the argument everyone else was doing it.
This board and this site is not the club. Our victim mentality doesn't extend within the walls of Princes Park.As a club we need to get over this victim mentality! The salary cap saga happened more than 20 years ago and Carlton have done more self inflicted damage to itself since, than the punishment handed to us by the AFL. The Carlton of the 00’s have shown they did not have strong leadership to get us back on course. Let’s hope this is rectified now and we can see Carlton back where it belongs, but this won’t happen until the club as a whole moves on and stops the victim mentality. I hope the club sees its future in its own hands. If it sees something that it doesn’t agree with, stand up and be heard. (Ie. our academy zone seems small compared to other clubs). Strong clubs such as Hawthorn, Collingwood, Geelong do this. Chris Judd coming in with part of his salary being transferred to being a Visy ambassador shows that the AFL doesn’t “hate” us, but generally the club has been real poor at putting forth it’s case.
Your memory of it is better than mine. I was 11-12. I can remember how passionate about football my father was before it, and the fire had gone out after it. I can remember the amount of kids who suddenly declined to admit they were Carlton fans, after watching me getting booed by adults.
People bemoan from time to time here the loss of old Carlton from a wins/losses perspective. I think we lost something then, something ineffable. I remember it feeling different when I was younger to the Carlton we are now.
same - but if someone could prove to me corruption in the game (not inherent rule changing, compromises, concessions & leg-ups for new clubs, human errors or "perceived bias" against my club) I'd walk away tomorrow.........I'm a hopeless romantic about Carlton Thy, that's why.
I put it to you this is not the case............Sounds like a court case in here
If I murder a man am I less deserving of life imprisonment if the next guy gets off with manslaughter (even if we both did it)

I was there that day and it was obvious, boys versus 'men'.How many times do we see it and it doesn't happen?
We lost 3 players that day all due to impact hits.
You have impact hits every game. You don't get a multitude of injuries every game. Which game did it happen in? That's right, the game we played against a team juiced to the gills. It's not a coincidence just like that team's run of soft tissue injuries wasn't either.
As a club we need to get over this victim mentality!
While you are right that Bigfooty is an independent site and has nothing to do with Carlton, I’d imagine that most of the posters here are members of the club. This board and this site is not the club. Our victim mentality doesn't extend within the walls of Princes Park.
What you, and supporters of basically every club see and feel, is simply a result of a less than perfect ruling body. Its that simple.Someone should set up a legitimate thread where we can discuss these things, because I for one am CERTAIN that the AFL's treatment of the Carlton football club is inconsistent with its treatment of other football clubs.
Imagine being a Newcastle utd supporter atm. Good friend who's supported them for 30 years is trying to make a very tough decision. Anyway, point is. It's hard to walk away from that connection sometimes.same - but if someone could prove to me corruption in the game (not inherent rule changing, compromises, concessions & leg-ups for new clubs, human errors or "perceived bias" against my club) I'd walk away tomorrow.........
