We are going to have players forced out of the side, and others in the side but not happy with their role, the hard work or the new coaches. It's just life and different personalities. No doubt we will lose players for draft picks, and perhaps even a big name.
From here, we just build the value of these players and keep the pressure coming from underneath so we can cover our losses.
There is zero room for conditional footy now. The likes of Dow, O'Brien and Williams are going to be better defensively or they are going to play somewhere else.
Will be keen to see how Dow, LoB and Willo go next year, but as far as conditional football goes am far more keen to see how some of our high priced recruits go under Voss. A number of them don’t seem that keen on defence, or prefer cruising at 80% - these guys that are aged 26 plus will be the engine room from where our improvement comes from, they need to set the example for the fringe players. In fact, think there’s only a handful of players that are unconditional.
And yes players will need to get used to a role whatever that may be. Think too much sympathy is given to players not making it because they’ve been “played out of position.” Yes, players need to play where they’re suited, but not all players can play where they want. Loved Stocker’s interview recently, said he’s happy to play anywhere for the team.
