Cross your fingers! If Quigley was homesick once, don't think it is out of his blood!!! He went home for a while and will go home again! You can't just inject dirty Pratt into his bloodstream and expect him to want more!! He obviously needs mummy over here. Good luck with him.

Unlike recent seasons in 2 years time players are really going to have to perform to keep their position on the list.
With no retirements in the near future and a constant influx of talent there will be a squeeze for places.

In 3 -4 years we should have amazing depth on our list.;)

If the Pratt/Swann/Icke management performance could be compared to a cricket innings they would be 100 no with 10 overs to go before lunch on the first morning of a test match :thumbsu:

:D

Talk about emulating your username.....

It's funny, but kind of sad, that you think that someone returning home due to homesickness will definitely continue to feel this throughout his career

Quigley was 20 years old then & who knows, perhaps he was a little bit immature. A lot also depends on the support structure the club has in place. At Carlton we have the O'hAilpins both now on the senior list & looking to be long-term players, hence why Michael Shields has been put under their wing.

With Quigley about to turn 22 & looking to join a team that definitely has 2 & might end up with 3 Irish players at the club, I suspect he would feel a little more comfortable this time around & less likely to return to Ireland. I certainly wouldn't be writing off someone who felt a bit home sick at 20 years of age.

It means "fun, or enjoyment"

I'm also surprised that Clokey beat Gibbs in the time-trial

And here I was thinking all the sour grapes were over in Perth :)

Shields is exactly what we need. He's got that mongrel in him and goes hard at the contest. He doesn't mind a brawl too. This is exactly the sort of player we need. Let's hope he settles in and has what it takes to be rookied.

Nah!

Small outside players are more valuable and harder to find than athletes who are 200 cms tall, 100 kgs and can play ruck and KPP because they're mobile and quick. ;)

My Sarcasm Meter just blew off the scale.

He reckons there's to many w***ers that follow Brisbane and the majority of supporters are ladder followers only willing to attend matches when a top 4 posi. is guaranteed.

I wouldnt know Quigley from a bar of soap but if homesickness was the reason he left the first time, then having the ohAilpin boys look after him as fellow Corkers should surely be working in his, and Carlton's favour.

QUIGLEY DOWN UNDER

(Shithouse movie in the 1980s)

:) This is good news, particularly if Quigley can make it. I just had a look at the Filth's Board and boy, are they whinging and moaning like a bunch of stuck pigs. But what else would you expect from a group that follows a serial non achiever.

With Shields coming over and now Quigley and, also the possiblity of a few more, it makes you think that the O'halpin Boys must had nothing to say but very good things about our beloved Blues whist in Ireland recently.

Can you imagine 4 crazy Irish footballers all living in the same house together - the mind boggles. Also, it will be much easier for an Irish recruit to come to a club if there are a few of his compatriots at the Club and enjoying themselves.

Anyway, let the filth and all the other Clubs whinge and carry on as much as they like. We are doing nothing wrong and are merely using the system to its full extent. They just can't face the fact that we are on the way back and will be hoisting flag no.17 long before them.:cool:

Is that you Terry Wallace
I think Wallace is really Adrian Dodoro.

Wallace said they picked the best two players in the 2004 draft at one and four.

Dodoro said they picked the best footballer at seven in the 2005 draft.

Has anyone seen Adrian Dodoro and Terry Tan together in the same room?
