“There are plenty of options up there. Eddie Betts, Jeff Garlett and Chris Yarran are going to be crumbing up the front. Lachy Henderson is going to come down there and hopefully Jarrad Waite can set up there for a few every week as well,” he said.

Very interesting, no mention of Kreuzer. Would love to watch Eddie, Yarran and Garlett all in the same forward line.

CARLTON defender Jordan Russell says the club has moved on from the controversies that have plagued them over the off-season.

The Blues have never been far from the news since that tosser Elliott had a run-in with the HUN bigwig late last year.

EFA.

I can't wait for the season to start - even the NAB cup is reasonably exciting right now! Only pity is I will be overseas for the first few rounds - my first game will be round 5 v the Cats... can't wait!!

Still think Kreuzer will play mostly in the ruck, and will go forward to provide some real impact. I see the Port game a couple of years back as the ideal scenario as what we could see Kruezer do.

He's just too much of a talent around the ground to have him play the majority of game in the forward line.

“We had our time trial the first day back and there were 20-odd blokes who ran PBs (personal bests). That’s a good sign of where we’re at and where our heads are at.”

Blues Take to the Water
“This is my sixth pre-season and I didn’t think it could be any tougher but it has been, they keep finding ways to punish us but it is great and we have certainly benefited from the hard work. You just have to have a look at the shape of the guys and see their fitness to appreciate the work that has been done and now we are focused on preparing for the start of the season, commencing with the NAB Cup in Sydney on February 20th.”

Yes, oh yes. Very happy.

Makes me think of players; JR, Sauce and El NoNicknamelard.

Makes me think the Big Knob and the Bottom Six are gone

blueblood25;16709806 He should be in the leadership group IMO said:
If only he had decent playing ability to along with it, he'd be a shoe-in.

The reality is, they don't give leadership roles to players at clubs with clunker playing ability anymore.

Its great to see Jordan doing some media work. He really has a mature attitude towards things.
It was good to hear that he's really positive on the efforts of everybody at training and that this is a really tough pre-season and that the boys seem to have taken a step up.
Jordan really improved towards the end of last year and he seems to be training hard and I hope he can continue his great form into season 2010 and beyond.
Top Job Jordan!

Possibly the first time I have ever heard him speak...

The kid must be made of stern stuff as Thy said he has copped a fair old whacking from just about all and sundry but seems focused on what's ahead for him.

I wouldn't be against him being in our leadership group even though I'm only going off this vision but I can't image JR getting into to much trouble.

Go well Mr Russell...we are all behind you....this time without sharpened knives :D
