Based on the Crows' experience last year I suspect we'll just hear the charges tonight and then Essendon will get some time to respond before the actual penalties are announced. I think that's how it happened anyway, that whole 4 months of the Tippett saga has been blotted from my memory :)

This. 14 days to respond, and the penalties, if any, will be determined at the Comission meeting on 26th.

yawn- this is like the bizarre adverts before the previews before the feature when you go to the movies- you've got time to go have a smoke, a turd and buy your overpriced popcorn and still miss nothing.

I suspect that no one will be satisfied after this. This is the AFL after all. They generally find a way to make no one happy!
If that's the case the decision is probably about right.

With these kind of things if most people arent happy with the penalty (Essendon fans saying too harsh / Non-essendon fans saying too lenient) its often a good sign that its a fair outcome

No way any penalty will be announced tonight.

Keep it in your pants boys.

Well, no, because charges (if any) will be handed down first, and Essendon will be given time to respond to them, and then any penalties will be handed down.

Seeings as there have been no leaks about any inhouse charges, I think it's safe to say Essendon will not have been given sufficient time to respond if penalties are announced tonight.
