Based on the Crows' experience last year I suspect we'll just hear the charges tonight and then Essendon will get some time to respond before the actual penalties are announced. I think that's how it happened anyway, that whole 4 months of the Tippett saga has been blotted from my memory

With these kind of things if most people arent happy with the penalty (Essendon fans saying too harsh / Non-essendon fans saying too lenient) its often a good sign that its a fair outcome

Well, no, because charges (if any) will be handed down first, and Essendon will be given time to respond to them, and then any penalties will be handed down.

Seeings as there have been no leaks about any inhouse charges, I think it's safe to say Essendon will not have been given sufficient time to respond if penalties are announced tonight.
