If we go tall, I want Darling and NO-ONE else. Lynch has a massive bust risk associated with him, and Gorringe..dear gosh...we just delisted a first round ruckman..there is a reason why we don't be stupid with ruckmen outside the top 5 picks.

Our midfield is deplorable, lets be dead honest here, is there a worse midfield going around in the AFL? Sometimes as a supporter you have to be honest. I hate doing it believe me. Lets analyse our list:
Rucks- B (yes we need depth but we have 2 great ruckmen and a good backup in Bellchambers)
Forwards- B (need a medium forward Paul Chapman type)
Backs- A (not a pressing need, although a better small defender would be handy)
Midfield- D (after Watson, it falls away)

If it was me - I would go all midfielders and one ruck.
Realistically the recruiters won't be this daring - but you would expect that out of 6 picks - that 3 would be midfielders.

fair call but I think out forward line is a d at the moment being too unproven injury prone and inexperienced.

Perhaps we originally wanted midfielders and so stated that we would take Gorringe but upon closer inspection we have decided Gorringe is better so we say we want midfielders.
The club would not be so stupid as to tell everyone else what we are really thinking.

Darling is more a certainty to be at the very least a capable Full Forward at the worst. Lynch could easily be a flop, he has very little football experience.

We do have Carlile, Gumbleton, Davey, Monfries. That quartet is pretty good. es we need a medium or two, but it is not as bad as you think.

Um, interesting theory.
I personnally would now like two mids with our first two picks so I don't know what I want to hear from Dodoro.
I was happy before when he was quoted saying they weren't going to target a gun mid and they were looking at rucks as a I was hoping it was a bit of misdirection but now he's talking about mids i'm getting worried he's chasing a tall.

Carlisle looks like a gun with good hands but he's only played 3 games at an elite level. Gumbleton is injury prone and has only played 25 games. Davey is injury prone, goes missing and with his little frame IMO will only last another couple of seasons. Monfries is a bit of a down hill skier and it's only a matter of time til the umps catch on that he dives at every opportunity.
IMHO we have potentially the best young group of mids in the comp and our defence is in the top 3 but our forward line is a shambles ATM.

Say what..our midfield is deplorable. I am sorry there is no two ways about it. Our core midfield consists of Watson and the rest are downright shocking most of the time. We need more midfielders to take pressure off Stanton especially. We don't have the best young mids in the comp, we just don't (Melbourne/Gold Coast do). Admittely they have had the picks to do it. I so wished we came a bit lower last year to get Martin.
Our forwardline needs tweaking, but Carlile at FF and Gumby at CHF are the two key points, Monfries is one Half Forward and Davel is one small forward. So yes we need another medium as Zaka and Reimers should be going through the guts not up forward. We have the picks to grab a medium forward and a small crumber (especially with the late picks (Yarran comes to mind as the crumber)

Watson is A grade. Winderlich and Stanton are average and weak as piss but with a few more big bodies in the midfield these guys should be able to run a muck.
Come on.
Melksham, Zaharakis, Howlett, Jetta, Myers, Hocking and Colyer who I think will win our next brownlow when he sorts his kicking. Plus pick 8 Atley Prestia Caddy?
