News Bombers to target midfielders in draft

what evidence is there for Darling's "vast football brain", any more so than any other player?

Yaco, you're a recidivist whinger. Can you stop sooking, gives me a headache to have to read your constant offended moanings

Lance

Bombers No 1 is claiming that Darling has a ' vast football brain'.

Make Bombers No 1 justify her opinion, but you also need to give reasons why you disagree with her opinion.

The way he kicks the ball to advantage tells me he has a great football brain in my view, has good skills. That said he is not my no1 choice, I'd choose 6 midfielders before him. But he is in my view the 2nd best tall in the draft behind Day. If we want a tall, take Darline, he provides a good target with good skills, but less of a flop risk than Lynch.

Bombers No 1 and I often disagree.

Its just that we remain civil towards each other.;)

There shouldn't be a debate over this, we're not going to pick up wither with our first pick? It will be wither Gorringe or a stack of midfielders in Caddy (yes please) or Atley (meh).

But hey every draft has a surprise??

Lance ain't the one spruiking that he knows the draftees inside and out, he doesn't exactly run the decision making tests at the combine now does he?

Wow.

Wow.

Myers will not play 100 games.

Truthful.. no bashing, thought there were a couple of other names that I misdread :?

He'll get 100 games, assuming his body holds up, before we think about cutting him.

Wrong, Darling has a vast football brain, at the very least he has been playing the game for years. Lynch has not, comes from another sport background, which in my view is a all-risk selection. To me in our situation we can't afford the risk.

We can't afford the risk, but we should consider a guy who has no fixed position?

I think Darling will be a fine player, possibly a Pavlich type, but he's a high risk pick.

Are you saying Lynch has no fixed position??

Darling is basically a forward who can spend time in the middle later in his career as his tank improves. At worst he is a 50 goal a year forward, I doubt Lynch with his kicking style will be even that. Darling is less a risk that said I would not bother taking talls until pick 46

oh lawwwwd

At worst he doesn't make it at AFL level. Like every draft pick.

No, just like Cloke and Riewoldt, hey?

Sorry for intruding, but I didn't want to waste a thread on this, and this thread seemed to have the more knowledgeable of you Bombers supporters (not that there are any other kind).

I'm doing a bit of research on Father-Sons and was wondering if anyone knew how old Dustin Fletcher and Gavin Wanganeen's sons are?

That's all - all the best, ra-ra. (and thanks)

Darling is big against junior footballers. At only 191cm I think he'll struggle to hold down a key post at senior level - I realise he wouldn't be the smallest KPF.

From what I've seen and read, Lamb takes that title, doesn't he?

Not a tall forward though, might as well chuck Swallow in there. But yes Lamb is pretty lethal in front of the sticks. If he is there at 31 (which he won't), grab him.

Hahaha. What's the best case scenario? 200 goal, 600 possession a year midfielder/foward?

Fletcher's lads are around the 10-14 range I think. Could be wrong though.

Bit of information off a Twitter page that I follow.. is all over AFL news. Some have probably heard of it but I can't see anywhere here where it has been mentioned. The Twitter address is @SpyAndSource and today it posted:

Good things come in small packages, well at least that's what James Hird believes. Prestia will be selected with pick 8

I had a look at his profile.. just looks like an Essendon player to me, like Zaharakis did!! :thumbsu:
PRESTI!! ;)
