What if I told you he still finished as our equal 3rd highest average goals per game kicker, behind Betts and McKay. Yes he may not be kicking 50+, but I don't think his continual hammy issues and our poor delivery inside 50 helped him much either.
He's supposedly been to every single training so far this pre-season, so I'd back him in for a comeback year. SOS didn't pick him up for nothing, he has a lot of talent but just needs to show more.

We will beat richmond and pies at least once and cheats anytime we play them.
Well, i got this prediction totally wrong. Its now looking like a 220 game rebuild which should see us contending around 2025

Feel you didn't understand the concept if you thought we would be contending before now. Its not the fault of the rebuild, its the piss weak development of our youngsters
The 66 game rebuild wasn't meant to be 66 games of garbage then we win a flag. It was 66 games where we completely rebuilt the list.
We did that. Whether the rebuild was to our satisfaction is another thing entirely.

We got the rebuild wrong. Plain and simple. When Cripps leaves ( and im kinda hoping he does ), Murphy , and Betts retire, and a few others get shown the door ( levi ) then rebuild will start again.
We still need help on every line and it doesnt look we will be playing finals anytime soon.

The plus side is the reserves smashed another team for the first time in years that a Carlton team has done so.
So we all know somewhere there is a flicker of hope.
But which players will put their hands up and lead change ... or is it easier to go to another club with the systems in place already?
Our list needs to know the each and every team mate has their back and play with the mentality of never giving in never accepting enough is enough.
Right now we have too many good nice guys who never demand more of themselves and lead others to follow.
Until we do nothing changes regardless of who the coach and assistants, playing list is.

Amazing how the narrative changes.
Murphy, Betts are considered bit-part role players, fans are screaming they should be dropped, yet apparently they're also so integral that when they leave we'll need to rebuild again.
It is a fallacy to suggest we need to rebuild again when they depart, which looks likely to be at the end of this season.

Its time the older players step aside and give the youth more than 1 game here and there to succeed.
A baby doesn't learn to walk without it falling over from time to time. And a parent needs to let the baby fall and learn.
We have a good group of kids who most likely have had the confidence sucked out of them. Its time the selection team and coach back in what our recruitment team saw
And let them play in the reserves for the rest of the year teaching and training the next generation.
