dogs have to be up there for the best team to watch because you no there is going to be about 30 to 40 goals scored per game
if any 1 saw dogs vs eagles would say that wasnt boring
because of the dogs youth they can have these patch where they carnt be stoped like against the crows but due to no KPP up forwards will strugle to win

The only 2 Western Bulldogs games that stick in my mind as memorable for different reasons in the last 10 years are the R21 game v Essendon in 2000 providing Essendon with only loss of the year, the ultra flood and Grant's goal from the boundary. This was an awful game to watch other than Wallace's ability to organise a team to stop Essendon that year. They tried the same tactics a week later against Hawthorn and lost in an even uglier game which forced them to go to Brisbane in week 1 of the final where they were flogged.
The R22 game v North in 1998 for top spot was a genuine classic b/c it is rare that you get to see 1v2 in the last round fighting for top spot. The game was great and its a pity the Dogs lost because they were on top for most of that year.
IMHO, the Western Bulldogs have never been one of those teams that you can't miss when they play.

Melbourne play the best brand of footy IMO.
haven't seen much of west coast but i assue they'd be alright as well.
Sydney the worst, they really are, no excuses.
Geelong play alright,
essendon and collingwood are average.
hawthorn were terrible last year but love their running play this year...

st kilda are pretty good to watch
don't like ports style
adelaide are neutral, don't interest me but their style isn't terrible either
fremantle are good when they're playing well (note WHEN they are playing well)
Brisbane are good tough team to watch always.
doggies are dreadful sometimes cause of lack of forward options, but i have a soft spot for them so like watching them
carlton are alright
kangeroos are average IMO

Oddly enough, West Coast haven't been at all what you'd expect from Worsfold- since he took over we've played most hyper attacking, unaccountable football in the clubs history- players are pretty much expected to run and attack with the ball, anyone with a tendency to hold things up after taking a mark has been weeded out, and its all about skills and pace.
I have no idea why- other than that maybe all those days when Woosh was camped out in a backline somewhere following the malthouse 'kick it to the boundary- always!' gameplan, he used to fantasise about being a gun attacking midfielder?

I do not think that is very far off the mark. If North wasn't my team I doubt I would rush out to see them play, which I guess is a sad thing. I think in part it has to do with who we have played. Some games we have played have been entertaining, others not so.
We play more defensive this year, it has nothing to do with the growing flooding trend, we have just been very unaccountable in the midfield in recent years and have had to change. It is one thing to play pretty and lose, and lose by a lot and another thing to play a little uglier and at least be there and have a shot at winning some more often than you lose.
Frankly, I would prefer us to be uglier competitive winners than look pretty and get flogged. As long as it is not hideously ugly like the way the Swans tend to play of late. We just do not have the type of players that allow us to just bomb it long inside 50 all the time. If we do that then we will lose more games than we win and we wont improve.
Your tactics are depenant on the cattle you have. If you do not have a good FF or CHF then bombing it forward quickly will just get you killed as most sides are drilled so well to rebound out of defense as a means of attack, the more you let your opposition rebound the more it will hurt you.
I think more teams are playing smarter football and that means more defensive and it is why the competition is very even. Reality is, smart football for teams that lack the cattle is a more defensive style of football. If everyone played like Sam Newman wants then there would be the same six teams up at the top and there would be the same 6 teams at the bottom because it would just come down to who has the best players.

The swans create a very low care factor through out the league.

The best teams to watch are teams that have big gun forwards firing like a Brown, Treadrea or Gehrig because they go long and direct.
My team North is crap to watch the dogs were shocking but have improved their style heaps under eade which is a surprise.
