Sledge of the day went to the boundary ump. A guy in Hawks gear behind the goals is getting stuck into him along the lines of hey blonde tip muppet, how's the solarium and spa, does your boyfriend know your here....boundary ump picks up the ball turns round and tells the Hawk to go get another pie! Had to be there, those that heard it were in hysterics!

But yes we were totally blown away and outplayed from 5mins into the 3rd qtr.

Did anyone see the Dawson touched on the line in the 1st quarter. I'm sure that was touched, I was right behind it. Maybe thats what put him on the angry pills behind the play (didn't do anything reportable).

Umps as usual have a tough job but need to choke on their whistles or put it where the sun don't shine. Full credit to Willy for teaching us a footy lesson...the umps had no bearing on the result..just the loss of more hair folicules for me!

List of players unable to get on the park:

1. Bailey (back i a couple of weeks at BH'2s
17. Muston (out of action all season)
20. Boyle (back in a couple of weeks)
15 Hodge (back in a couple of weeks)
17. Tuck ( ditto )
21. McGlynn ( ditto)
44 Stokes (ditto)

Currently in BH2's
40. Sandilands
41. Walsh

Therefore 7 out through injury (2-3 will be back in Hawthorn's team shortly and this will push a couple down to BH and 2 whose form will improve and they get up to BH Snrs.

Surely this will give BH a great lift.:thumbsu:

Good stuff FBH. :thumbsu:

Box Hill's defence seems to be the main problem. Hopefully a fit and active Hugh Sandilands will help plug that hole that seems to be well and truly open and certain times during their matches.

I saw the game on t.v....and one of the things that i noticed was the presence that Renouf has. There is something about him that gives me great hope that he will be an imposing figure in the game some day...great size, stamina and mobility! His skills are good too....a lot to look forward to from him, and it is starting to become obvious why Buckenara (I think) was so keen on getting him when he was around at pick.24.

I really liked the look of Whitecross...looks the goods! Very good skill....

And I still have hopes for Dowler...he is not that far off the mark. Four goals is a good return considering some of the delivery into the forward line. Also, as it has been stated previously, once Thorp gets the body right, he will develop into a very very very good KPP (im refraining from labelling him as a gun until he strings a few solid games together in the seniors).

Had a look on the TV.

Renouf showed enough leap and competitiveness :thumbsu:.
Thorp showed the footskills of an AFL player. He should get the chance to get his body right.
Whitecross was good by hand a couple of times.

You're right FLH - a bit of hope there.

Only thing we have to remember is that inevitably there will be more injuries accumulate while these blokes are getting back on the park. The length of the injury list we have at the moment is probably pretty standard for most years (so I don't think we can blame BHH's form on injuries), but with any luck our injury list will be very thin in a few weeks time.

Noticed Morton wasnt playing when we checked the record to see who 35 was. Reason we checked being that No 35 would be lucky to be more than 5ft 2. Crikey he was small.
Didnt see the whole game, but apart from Renouf I wasnt getting too excited by anyone. That said I forgot to look for Whitecross, some saying he looked good but note he wasnt named in the best.

Anyone note Thorps injury? Noticed he came on and off the bench a few times. I went out to 3/4 time huddle and he did not appear injured.

Casual observation Of Dowler for me was that he didnt read play too well. Thought there were a couple of occasions where should have been in prime spot for the grab but he went the wrong way. That said you'd have to be a great mindreader to actually know where some of the delivery was going to be delivered!!

Sammy Mitch was the only senior player noted in the crowd!!
