Is this Brathwaite related to the opener Brathwaite? I'm assuming he is as there can't be that many Brathwaites around.

He's batting pretty well apart from that brain fade slog off the no ball.
Not related.

If Khawaja was 15 off 95 in the first innings at 6/115 I'm sure we'd all be having a go at him.

You need to turn over the strike in order to make it harder for the bowlers. Plus he should have his eye in by now, so should be attacking the bowlers way more than he is doing.

What the **** are Warne and Slater talking about? If the West Indies go out cheaply and get rolled in three days they'll get shit heaped on them for not putting up a fight. Instead they dig in and put up a fight, and now they're playing themselves out of form.

so channel 9 is now complaining cose one of there batters is showing fight deary me! it's test cricket bravo can make 100 off 600 balls if he wants

FFS, that is seriously below the belt. Knock a man whilst his is down. You sir, are a cruel man.
Mate it was a comment borne out of frustration. I want to see a decent contest, and they've been in short supply this summer!!!

Two separate movements with the individual bails:
  • Nevill removed the leg side bail
  • Batsmen foot lifted
  • Nevill removed the off side bail
Umpire and channel 9 looked at the wrong replay, it needed to be extended to the second bail getting knocked off.

Is that how the rule works though?

I thought that once a bail had been lifted, even if only one, the next step has to be snatching a stump out of the ground while holding the ball.

Isn't it once the bails are broken you have to take a stump?

Only one bail lifted and was knocked off in the first movement, the off side one remained on the stumps unbroken. I could be wrong, but I thought the stump only needs to be removed when no bails remain in place.

Apart from getting bowled to Pattinson of the no ball, Brathwaite has batted perfectly. Solid defence and scoring with minimal risk to turn over the strike.

Because no bowler has bowled a no ball before.
