When you can translate this to some kind of discernible English I might have some idea what you're saying.
How frustrating is it that you want to understand and yet can't translated it. :) I honestly don't care you can understand it or not. Is he for sale for the right price? If not who care how great he is.

* who care he is better than swallow or worth 1 million like you said, if he is not for sale, Adelaide just going to keep him like essendon did to daniher. He is a FA, you either match other club offer or let him go as FA.

This is the age old debate.
From what I remember from a study done years ago, its actually easier to succeed personally as a midfielder in a team with less depth than more depth.
Especially in this day and age with minimal tagging/personal accountability.

For example I would expect that when Cripps gets a bit more help at Carlton his numbers will go down slightly.
Not because he's a worse player. He will be getting better and better. But there will be other decent players taking quality possessions from him.
Maybe possessions, but I doubt it as the main inside ball winner. It’s more like he won’t be playing a lone hand any longer competing against a rotation of opposition inside mids.

Time on ground is more likely to affect his stats.

But stats like effective disposals, disposal efficiency, inside 50’s, should improve as the team mates around him and up forward improve.

Its actually the opposite which is what was found by this university study.
Often their game impact improves but the pure statistics are down.

Purely because they don't need to carry as much load. Spreads the focus of the opposition etc.

Look at Ablett's numbers at early GC compared with Geelong, even in his brownlow year/years.
Went up 4 disposals a game by his 2nd gold coast season.
However his marks and goals pretty much halved, becuase he wasn't getting any kind of delivery or good ball from his teammates and the ball was forever in defense and when he did rest forward the ball didnt get there.

So as I said, his pure disposal numbers were up, but game impact was down because he was having to do it all himself.
Cripps while not as black and white as that, would definitely benefit from some other good mids (even if his numbers go down slightly)

Go and apply a job with your Adelaide club. Nobody will appreciate your analysis talent here. If your opinion is always better than other, what to discuss? He is not for sale but he is a great player? WTF.

Sorry yeah I forgot that any kind of actual analysis pisses off people with dumb opinions based purely on what they see with their eyes.
Its not my opinion. It was a scientific study of data which I was attempting to explain to you with examples.

Crouch has had 1 maybe 2 elite yrs I don't think he is worth 800k let alone 1mill.
You're probably right about the 2 years, but players aren't always paid in order of how good they are.

Plenty of players getting paid above their output (past and present). It takes $ to give an incentive to move sometimes.

Motlop
Ellis
Lever
Sheil
Dixon
Tippett
Boyd

That's true but what would you be willing to pay to keep him?

Brad's my fav crows player, so 5 years at 800 is fine by me with our current list.

Front end it so he is only getting 600 for the last 3 years and we have some cap space for a FA.

If he is offered a bigger contract it's a great compo pick as a worst case scenario

i think 850k for 5 years is a fair value for him, great player like him don't come cheap especially RFA .
