Brad Ebert asks to be traded to Port

Journos are still mostly guessing. One outlet will say club X wants draft picks for player Y another outlet will say club X wants players.

And they are especially disinterested in a trade between an SA and WA club. The Hun still reports Ebert as only wanting to go back to SA.

Similarly supporters get themselves all worked up about a trade position that they talk themselves into without any knowledge of what is being demanded or offered then complain if the deal worked out doesn't match what they had dreamed up.

yeah do what needs to be done and wrap this up today so nobody's thinking about it by the weekend, only what number he'll wear! I don't know what the Eagles are thinking but I hope they just take 33 and 51 for Ebert and stop trying for 28, but whatever happens, we still have 6. Not too much consolation for 16th place then.

Thought i read a quote from Rhode stating we are close to a player for player swap?

obviously depending on said player i wouldn't mind that, lets us hold onto draft picks for possible play in the mini draft or actual draft.

Would like to see this wrapped up in the next few hours so that we can concentrate on other areas, including looking for some sort of return for Motlop and a pick+pre-listed player for Brogan/Chad.

how is he overrated? he's underrated for mine.. in the circumstances.. a young mid with 80 odd games experience that actually wants to come to Port and play. are there 2 more players that fit that description right now? goes against everything they want us to believe about Port doesn't it.

I wonder if the Krak compensation pick would have resolved this deadlock?
I reckon it would've done nicely, yes. They could save it for next year.

Totally agree with you simba. Sure his disposal needs to improve but the guy can find his own ball and run all day. He is just 21 for God's sake and about to hit his prime. As well as that, he loves Port. I can't understand the negativity by some Port posters.

"We're getting closer - and with a direct swap," said Rohde last night.
West Coast has wanted Port's end-of-first-round priority draft pick (No. 28) for Ebert. The Power stood firm on not offering any pick before its second-round draft card (No. 33).
Now Port is engineering a trade that involves a swap of multiple draft picks between Alberton and Subiaco.

After first indicating it would leave Ebert to the Power, Crows list manager David Noble last night declared Adelaide was prepared to reconsider.

Noble can go and stick it, Ebert doesn't want to play there.

Give it up ffs.

Sadly I can see pick 28 and 33 for their pick 45 and Ebert. If we do this is crap, weren't they happy to take 28 alone?

id rather have picks 28 and 33 than brad ebert who is well overrated

pick 33 sure, pick 28 - maybe, but both - no

I'd give up both, who knows what we will get there.

Ohh btw scabs suck, so don't be scabby

Pick 28
>
Pick 28 + 33

Id prefer
2nd and 4th round pick
33 and 69 (something)

dont complicate things rodhey

Pick 69 is of no use to us whatsoever. You may as well offer us pick 33 and a rock that keeps tigers away.
