I know no one wants to trade Lycett, Neither do I but what about this.

Ebert + Lycett for Pick 6 + 28/33

Pick 6 to Brisbane for Mitch Clark

Port gets: Ebert and Lycett
Port loses: Pick 6 + 28/33

Eagles get: Mitch Clarke + Pick 28/33
Eagles lose: Ebert + Lycett

Brisbane get: Pick 6
Brisbane lose: Mitch Clarke

If the worse should happen and he walks in the pre season draft, I will be disappointed no doubt but I wont lose sleep over it. He would have been 22 next year till the end of his career but far from a top 10 player at the club. Nor was he hugely important to our structure. As I see it there 2 players that can step in and do as good a job (Hams, Stevens) and 2 players would only be a slight step down (Strijk, Weedon). Obviously I want to get a decent draft pick/player for him but I am expecting we don't and if we do then it is a bonus.

For next year at least I would move Waters to the HF line as we have a plethora of half back flankers.

Boooooooooo......

Brisbane winning in that trade, no way will they get a pick 6 for Clarke. Mid teens and an average player I would think.

For us, Clarke will be stuck behind Cox for a few years. Whereas Lycett can sit in the background on a low wage gaining experience. He'll then be ready to bust out when Cox retires.

PS, probably time to change your location.

I think Brisbane will want more! But yeah you're right on the location ;P

Just read the last few pages and this is what I think..

Won't go to the Crows for a lot of different reasons. One of the big ones is that Ebert is a Port boy, the other big one is that their whole spine has park football skills (Rutten, Talia, Dangerfield, Walker, Tippett) and they won't pay overs for another bad kick. Port will pay overs.

Lycett will stay at WC. You need him and if Port really want a ruck they can draft one with pick 6 or pick up Griffin.

I think pick 28 and a player or other pick will be the minimum that WC ask for. I would prefer we traded Salopek (Who is contracted) and a pick and think that would work out better for both teams... can't see it happening though.

Agree with all this.

Of course they will WANT more. Just like we did for Juddy. And he was much better and proven than Clarke, who still has significant question marks. Does he really even have a position? Not a great ruck, not a great forward.

WEST COAST could help deliver Adelaide star Kurt Tippett to the Lions.

AFL trade week begins on Monday and the Eagles have made a pre-emptive strike for a possible three-way deal that could mean departing Lions star Mitch Clark goes home to Perth and Gold Coaster Tippett returns to Queensland.

The Eagles have contacted the Lions to express their interest in Clark.

Bitter West Australian rival Fremantle was considered the front-runner for the 23-year-old but has been caught napping by the Eagles, who have wasted no time since midfielder Brad Ebert told the club he wanted to be traded to a South Australian team.

Interesting...

I'm not the biggest fan of Clark but he would be a lot better than pick 28. Kennedy up the ground, Clark to the forward line. Would be an upgrade on Lynch.

Dont know if Adelaide would be keen on Ebert for Tippet tho...

Not a chance

Pick 28 + Ben Newton for Brad Ebert and WC 2nd round
or
Pick 28 + Pick 33 for Brad Ebert and WC 2nd round

Make it so..

:thumbsu:

I would be happy with either of these. first more so then second.
I wonder what port would think of these trades

you could get it easy..pick 6 and 28 for Ebert and Lycett.

highly doubt the club would give up Lycett.. however that number 6 pick does look nice:thumbsu:

don't think it will happen though. most likely outcome would most probably be ebert for pick 28

Does the pick look nice for an actual reason or just because it's really really high up????!!!!?!?!111!!1!!11
