If Acres is so bloody good why didn’t he finish in the top 10 of the B&F? He played 19 games this year, is in his 6th season of AFL. Averages 16 disposals in 2019. He is a salary dump for St Kilda that’s it.

We rated Hanners highly enough last year to offer him $800k+ on a long contract, o glad we were happy to pay pick 4 for him based on a big contract last year.

I think the trade will happen. Saints have made such a show about having a quality player finally nominate them, they'd be a laughing stock not to get it done. There might be a few on here surprised Hill didn't leave for single pick, but no way Saints let this fall apart.

For sure the Dogs are in the same boat if a Quality player nominated us,it would damage the brand significantly. As a "smaller" club we are already up against it to attract quality. So if one does nominate have to find a way to get it done, or making it even more difficult to get a chance at the better end of the market. Rather just having to settle for the Moneyball type trades.

Lol Hanners was a Salary dump, and Saints ran with it. Hill and Hanners situation are nothing alike and therefore deals will be different.

First came to Melbourne 11 years, I went a game binge seeing a lot of games. Sometimes, watching three games in a weekend.

As a neutral viewer sitting at Dockerlands, I observed that the Saints were putting hate on Ross Lyon and the players at the time.

It was funny to see the Saints winning yet their supporters just not happy and just be hateful to their own.

On BF, the most vile rubbish towards the Dockers were from WA saints supporters.

Compare this discussion with the Langdon trade. Don’t see the same arguments or vile.

In fact, majority of the posts have been good natured. Sure, people disagree but not the same bs.

A lot of half backs in Young, Ash, and Gould.

Stephens, and Seerong in the mix as midfielders.

Not a fan of Seerong, undersized midfielder who isn’t quick.

For me, it’s Stephens and Gould.

He's not. But look at it this way. Freo are losing 2 wings - Saints will have Hill and Billings. Where would Acres rather be next year?

He's steak knives, but decent for Freo where he fills a need. He's just 'handy depth' at St Kilda. They could let him go and not feel it.
