And he is totally reliant on that midfield getting the ball for him, when he has to get it himself he is under to much pressure and no good or he just go's without it, so he doesn't get tackled, i dont hate the guy in the right team , yes he is good i just dont think he would fit in with us
If you want to compare them DP arguably worse on ground 2013 GF, Brad Hill great contribution in all three of his.
D. Pearce plays a different role to Hill. Pearce still has to work for his possesions and doesn't overly rely on Fyfe/Mundy/neale to get the ball. Hill on the other hand waits outside for the ball much like Gaff etc

I thought Brad Hill played quite well tonight. His field kicking is a thing of beauty IMO
I watched B.Hill closely tonight,his field kicking or be short is top-notch IMO.
Very sound short pass kicking technique.
I'll be rapt if B.Hill ends up at freo next year providing it doesn't cost us too much!
Doesn't matter what you fella's want Hill has met with Freo, Clarkson has almost given his blessing I'd be surprised if it's not a done deal, like others have said I hope it's not more than a second rounder.

Obvious concern is that he may cost more then i would be comfortable with the club paying for him.
He is withouth question better then 10 players in our current best 22 and still has 7-8 years of solid footy left in him.

I dont mind having brad if freo did not extend d.pearce contract. Is hard enough to see no succesor to pav, by playing d.pearce all the time there is another position freo fail to develop young player. Is one thing to said we dont have high draft pick and another thing of keep making the same excuses that youth is not good enough and not develop them. Every year just keep waiting for high draft pick

Didn't like the way he squibbed out of a couple of contests last night. But I guess that's why he's not a genuine star.
For me, if the price is around pick 25, great. If it's higher than 20 or so, don't want.

Yeah, we only want guys who'll all go for the ball at the same time leaving no outside runners to receive when it's dug out.

despite him being contracted... Freo have the advantage here. Our priority is a key forward and a ruck. Plus he wants to come here.
I rather wait next season to get him. He will be uncontracted by then. Hawks wont get that top 10 pick they want.

If was more his complete failure to go for a mark, in fact watching the replay I am fairly certain he actively avoided backing up for it, that allowed Kennedy a clear and free run at a mark about 35m out and subsequent goal.
Now, as I say, contested ball is not really a strength (or even an average skill) of his as if it was he'd be a genuine star. But that incident in particular would have had us raging, it was a complete gift.
I'd still be happy to get him, as long as we're clear enough on his limitations and thus the price we should pay.
You might have seen one marking contest where he didn't go all-in, I saw a lot of kicks that hit their targets and some good decision making, unlike most of our blokes. Besides which, he's not completely sure he wants to be playing at Hawthorn at the moment, and has things on his mind. He still played better than half of Hawthorn last night.
Stop looking for the negatives, an upgrade is an upgrade. Hill is an upgrade. Some folks are just looking to see what he does wrong, instead of what he does right.
The only thing we need to watch out for is the price. We don't need to talk about whether or not he'll "fit" because that's pretty much beyond doubt in my view, in terms of team balance. If we're reduced to playing Stephen as an inside mid in a few games this year, then yeah, we need Brad.
That last sentence of yours pretty much sums it up. On that much, we completely agree.
